I just saw this. It's a terrible example of the COVIDIOTS in California,
No. These are the people following the science.

These are covidiots:

Macmillian Dictionary defines “covidiot” as “an insulting term for someone who ignores health advice about COVID-19." Urban Dictionary takes a pretty similar approach, defining “covidiot” as “someone who ignores the warnings regarding public health or safety.”
Basically, a covidiot doesn’t take COVID-19 and the risks of the virus seriously, despite what government officials and the global health community say.

Thanks for the definition.

I think it fits the situation.

These are people, in this case politicians, who don't follow the risks of the cover reaction. The risks of people losing their lives work, being able to take care of themselves and their families or dependants because the idiots aren't looking out for anything except eliminating the blow back from social pressure.

If these were intelligent people they would look at the real effects of lockdowns including the reduced risk of spread cover, as well as the effects of economic disaster, deaths from suicide, self medicating with drugs or alcohol, and the domestic violence perpetrated by partners on each other as well their kids.

There has been virtually zero attention paid by these Californian and like minded idiots as to the real and increasing harms they are raining on hard working men and women.

They are COVIDIOTS too.

These are your personal opinions, not accepted definitions. Please provide definitions from accepted dictionaries that substantiate your claims as I did. Until then, the accepted and recognized definition of covidiot is:

Macmillian Dictionary defines “covidiot” as “an insulting term for someone who ignores health advice about COVID-19." Urban Dictionary takes a pretty similar approach, defining “covidiot” as “someone who ignores the warnings regarding public health or safety.”

You have a very narrow understanding of this definition, crafting it to include only the view you want it to define, and excluding anything else.

There is much that the medical community has to say about focusing on the virus to the exclusion of the responses to it. The responses are often worse, far worse, than the catching the virus often is in the vast majority of cases is.

Mentional, phycological, health are not the only medical maladies ignored completely by these covidiots. Add to that the major surgeries that have to be put on hold or never done and then never needed, not because of the virus, but because of the response to it. Add to that the delayed tests for breast cancer, heart conditions, or even the more mundane symptoms of diabetes, all of which can and will kill far more than the virus and are not being a focus of attention.

So yes, the definition you're using is fine for me. Is my application of it not fine for you?

This is not MY view. It is the view of the professional lexicographers. They provided the definition.

Not if yours means the exact opposite and is not backed up by a definition provided by an authentic dictionary. You can't just make up definitions on your own and expect it to be universally accepted.

Are you referring to the left wing media?

The right has been using the term longer than the left has so its still pretty funny when a mask breather uses the term covidiot

Its like watching a rapper use the N word

It's a bloody dictionary, for god's sake.

If you think that dictionaries are part of the conspiracy to control us, you are more far gone than anybody previously imagined.

Just because lexicographers starts with "LE" does not mean that they are "LEft wing".

That's fine, but you are still using the word covidiot improperly.
Here you go, your definition
an insulting term for someone who ignores health advice about COVID-19.
.

Right?

Therefore people who are locking down, enforcing lockdowns, promoting lockdowns, ignoring all health issues from COVID lockdowns, (other than COVID infection), are by your definition ignoring all the health advice I've quoted above relating to about COVID-19.

What am I missing here?

Uh huh
And what rock have you been living under?

How many words have been changed in past decade as lefty creeps more to mainstream?

Here as a few examples

Women who claim the dictionary is sexist

But the most obvious bias in most modern dictionaries is the war between science and church
And since majority of church groups are right wing and majority of science groups are left wing....

(As an aside, you do understand the war between creation and evolution right? Its an issue everywhere from news to schools.... quite surprised you missed it but then again.... liberal bias talking right?)

Heck even look at what the term Liberal is defined as; "willing to respect and accept behaviour or opinions different from one’s own." or "(in a political context) favouring individual liberty, free trade, and moderate reform." It never once mentions gun control, school prayer, or abortion.

Really.... respects others opinions.... then why do mask breathers scream at those who decide not to wear a mask?

Actually if you go look it up (either Twitter or his beloved Urban dictionary) the term Covidiot was (originally) to people who did stupid things (such as hoarding toilet paper)

The POLITICAL connotation came months later and (from what I can tell) is the result of one specific Democratic commentator who (literally) spammed the term until the left picked it up. Tons of sub terms (such as Covidiot-45) were also used but did not catch on.

Its beyond obvious most of the lefty suffer from acute cases of TDS

Every state in the US has some form of mask mandate in public already. Biden's call is redundant.

Not really
Pre-election Biden insisted he wanted much tougher rules / laws

Most of the news commentators say he gave it up because it was political suicide

But Biden is VERY radical, I think many swing voters are in for a very rude awakening in next 4 years
(And the contrast of Trump to Biden makes the change even more jarring since T is also radical)

The health advice is to stay home as much as possible, do not mix with people outside of your immediate residential bubble, avoid gatherings with many people, wear a mask whenever out of your residence and maintain social distancing and wash your hands frequently. So people who deliberately do not follow that health advice from our health departments are, as to the definition in dictionaries, covidiots. It's actually rather straight forward.

You have to read the advice in the links above. They do not say those things. In contrast those studies and medical advice say those are harmful, in some case the harm far outweighs any benefits.

I've said this so many times, even I'm tired of reading it.

I'm out of here, now.

Not one part of that is correct, none of it.
