What's your story for seeing an SP or being in this hobby?

I started seeing escorts in my 20's because I was socially very shy and very academic and did poorly in the dating world. Once I started, it became difficult to stop. Sex with a variety of hot women was irresistible to a young guy with no other outlet.

Over time, I earned enough (and the prices dropped) to the point where I could hobby regularly without worrying about spending too much money and then it became a lfestyle.

Ah the sexless marriage...I think it's the one thing no one ever talks about at the wedding but it happens almost every marriage - or sex once a month or once a year so the judge can be told she DID have sex with him and it was consumated. Then people cry foul when a partner cheats on them because they get sexual attention somewhere else. Been there.

I found there are too many golddiggers in the dating scene. Women I met seemed entitled and make their pussy a prize (and it really isn't). Too many games and I got tired of the chase. I know what I want and SP gives the girlfriend experience without the bullshit.
I can't blame you. Ever since I became single again, the dating world has horrible, and none of the dating-platform (POF, Tinder, Bumble et cetera) seem to work for me. So far, I'm still stuck in the world of SP for sexual encounter. But the problem is, I missed the little things like cooking, watching a movie, hanging out, or celebrate special holidays without breaking your bank account.

Question;

Why not get married to an open minded person or just not get married at all?

Is the need for secretly betray someone that needy for you?

I mean this with no judgement intended. I am just really curious to how this type of thinking works with some people since I am the complete opposite. Secrecy gives me such anxiety that it is something I would never seek out.
From my personal experience, finding someone that is open minded is like finding a needle in a haystack.

Also, If you find a partner/spouse to be open minded - you have to be open minded too. It can't be one-sided. It's a two-way street.

I know what you mean buddy, in my early 20's - for the life of me, I could not get a girlfriend, and even if I managed to get one, it would only last for 8 months. Afterwards, I will have a 3 yr waiting period before I could get another girlfriend.

Indeed, after I start this hobby - it became addictive and expensive.

Because guys can be in love and have guilt free sex with other people. It's not about keeping a secret because we don't remember them for part. The ones we do remember are either that damn good (so we are heading back) or that damn bad. And usually for other reasons than the sex.

My occasional trysts are usually last minute, after a night out, a few wobbly pops in. Or on vacation to Montreal or Vegas. And then home. Right now it's a no go for me. I'm not going out. And I like my SO as well as love her. But I can compartment that and not worry over it.

Yet people cheat on their partners all the time so to them sex must mean more to them then people they committed their life too.

Considering the consequence.
Some guys are just hounds. We like variety. I also like bring in a long term relationship.

Good question.

So I’ve decided to be single until im settled at work. There is also a girl I dated since I was 16 and we had to separate across the country for our jobs/training (no choice ) and I’ve committed to waiting it out untill we can be in the same city . She is in a similar situation with her career. We can literally only meet at most once or twice a year for 5+ years. I offered to be in an open distant relationship but she rather not cause if she commits she reallt gets emotionally attached as do I and it can be painful. So here I am single and not looking to settle with anyone.

I’m pretty young and have the means to explore the dating world for the one night stands but things get messy and I can see my self ending up in a less than ideal relationship doing that. Any girl I meet I compare to the girl I know and they never win the battle so I don’t settle.

This hobby to me is perfect. It satisfies my need for intimacy and allows me to focus on work while I hopefully wait to get reunited with my ex.

And I get that. That is possible with an open relationship so why not insist on having one when entering something long term?

I also hate the dating world. Main reason I came back.

Because at the time I'd had my fill of fucking a bunch of young women and wanted to settle down. And I did. Then I once again wanted to. So I had a choice. Scratch the occasional itch with an SP(carefully, and absolutely take care of all my shit at home happily) or go through the pain of leaving.

This is a distraction for me. That I've taken the time off since Covid and haven't been affected proves that. It's recreational. Not every guy is like that. I understand. I'm on hiatus until a vaccine. It's that simple. And probably until 6 months later to make sure it takes.

Then I figure with the economic fallout Vegas will be a part timer casino girl fish in a barrel hunt for a few years. And here the volume will explode again. And I will have banked cash AND with my awesomeness at home banked enough "husband" points to take trips at will.

I can wait. No fuck is that important.

People have amazing food all the time without knowing one thing about cooking. And I can have amazing sex without knowing the first thing about game.

This is super judgemental. People’s relationships are complicated and while you may enjoy being completely “honest” and open, I think you’re being very closed minded in how you evaluate other people.
It was tongue in cheek to the reply I quoted. Not meant to be taken seriously. Based on his often used slang phrase.

Also I have already stated that I am curious to the joy of secrecy for those who have that need to be filled, however to the rest who merely do not wish to leave a long term marriage or relationship because everything else is great, I also understand.

I tried to make sure I made it clear I was not judging. I am sorry you missed that part in my posts.

You said you weren’t judging, but you definitely were.

And as I explained, that reply was a tongue in cheek response to the slang term post that was/is not to be taken seriously.

So to be quite clear once again - I am not judging anyone for their life and relationship choices.
