Police brutality against unarmed civilians needs to be condemned. No question. And if athletes want to stop playing in protest, that's their prerogative. I have no problem with that.
But I can also fill this page with the numerous innocent beautiful black children murdered by black gangsters. Why aren't these athletes and society at large mounting protests against these senseless killings? Why? I dont have a solution and I am not going to put myself in anybody's freaking shoes. What I am saying is there ought to be even more virulent protests against killings of innocent children. But nothing is happening. This is what truly pisses me off. Big fucking time.

Yes except most of them don't actually care where they came from and put those times behind them. If they really wanted to make a statement they should have boycotted the rest of the season but they won't because it hurts their wallets. They were snowed by the owners who assured them they will do all they can to change the system. NBA, NFL and Soccer player will always support such mouvement as BLM because most of them grew up in these poor and violent area's. And most of them are black. They know a bit more how it is, even if they now make millions, then most probably all of you commenting here.
Heard some of the athletes say they want a "full" conversation. If they really want a "full" conversation then we should also talk about black crime and black violence (mostly inflicted on other blacks). LeBron "I am terrified" James is much more likely to be killed by a young black male than by a police officer at the scene of a crime.

I don't think anyone is saying Blake is a role model. The protests aren't about a wonderful person being shot; they're about the differences in the way that often police deal with black and white people differently. For example, Blake ignored the police and went back to his car and got shot for it. Meanwhile this militia kid crosses state lines with a weapon he allegedly shouldn't have had and while out after curfew gets thanked by the cops then proceeds to shoot three people, walk by the cops as people are telling cops he's the shooter, and goes home for the night.

If you left your echo chamber, you'd head many stories about successful black people who still get treated like shit by the cops. The NBA players know that once they walk off the court, they will be treated like just another black person.
