Shoving the old guy was legally "excessive force". The concept is flexible. What is not excessive force with a young, aggressive man becomes excessive force with a sick, frail old geezer.
But they would have had to have known he was a frail old geezer with poor balance. He was strong enough to be right up in their faces.

I could be wrong, but I don't think the law distinguishes between a young or old person when dealing with excessive force cases.

So you get to use as much force arresting 90 year old grandma as arresting Mike Tyson?

This stuff is common sense.

I believe police use of force rules require an assessment of what level of force to use so a 75 year old should be handled differently than a 215 pond 20 year old.

Did you watch the video?
Are you blind?
Blinded by his right wing love of trump and everything his cult supports. No joke, literally, THEY ARE BLIND TO REALITY.

I believe it does. If a 3 year old child was in his way could he deal with the child just the same as a 25 year old guy? Part of their job requires showing some judgement unlike robots.

Cool your jets man. Is this really common sense? I'm no law or police procedures expert and few people are. We don't have easy access to that information. That's why I made the comment.

I would hope that officers have a process on how to asses use of force, but that's information that we're not able to easily access.

Yes, I've made this point a number of times already.

Living in another province is a requirement for becoming an RCMP officer only. My becoming a cop continues after covid is over. I really wish I was on the front lines right now.

It's fine to condemn bad cops, but in many of these protests, people are condemning all cops, which is lunacy.
That is quite ambitious for someone who's career is delivering groceries and who won't be able to pass a mental health exam to become a cop.

The psychological testing is something I look forward to. Already had to perform one such test to obtain the OACP Certificate.

Helping out the community by providing essential services like grocery delivery, especially during a pandemic, is revered by police services.

All candidates should be mentally and physically fit for the job. We will prevail because God is on our side!

You get paid for delivering groceries, it is a braindead job, there is nothing noble about it unless you are doing it for free.

Please be sure to tell the police that you get visions from God, they love that shit. Also, make mention that you have ambitions of building a dungeon to keep sex slaves.

What gets posted on TERB, stays on TERB. The instant I'm hired I will retire from TERB. This place is sick.

Paid? More like pennies to the dollar. Nobody can live off this wage in the city. When half the workforce would rather stay home safe from covid and collect CERB welfare, it is noble. Do you have a personal GoFundMe that you want me to donate to?

I ain't the one making chump change doing a low skilled job with ambitions to become a cop, I do not need a gofundme you do. My first job when I was 13 was delivering groceries and medicine on the weekends, it is sad that you are relegated to doing jobs that are only fit for kids to do and see it as a point of pride.
