Anyone remember "The Great Canadian Beef Co."?, IIRC it was a restaurant located on The Esplanade and either Church or Jarvis.

I went to the sanctuary once. Now that was an experience! And the Big Bop was cool. I never went to the monthly fetish night but did go to the monthly Dark Rave which would also get pretty interesting.FUCK YES!
Plus the big bop’s fet night, the Shanghai cowgirl at 2 am and the Vatikan
Favorite two things from Shanghai cowgirl:I went to the sanctuary once. Now that was an experience! And the Big Bop was cool. I never went to the monthly fetish night but did go to the monthly Dark Rave which would also get pretty interesting.
Never got to go to the Vatican though.
The food at Shanghai Cowgirl was awesome especially at 2 am. Now that it’s something else, I have to go to Smokes poutine which is also good.
Uh oh....I’m reminiscing.......
The Sanctuary on Queen St.
I remember!does anyone remember that pink popcorn you could by at corner stores. I think it had an elephant as the logo. God that stuff was good...lol.
ah yes....sitting outside on a Saturday night, betting the races...………..I miss old Greenwood Racetrack at Queen between Coxwell and Woodbine. Spent many nights of my youth betting the trotters at that track.
I remember one Friday night going to the Orchard Park and Ron Waples and Doug Brown got into an old fashioned bar brawl with each other as Brown interfered with Waples horse earlier in the night in a big stakes race. Alot of drivers used to get hammered there after the races were done for the night. After the races at Greenwood we would go across the street to the Orchard Park Hotel where some of the toughest looking women you ever saw hung out.
The Gasworks, Piccidilly Tube and Larry's Hideaway!
Thought I was the only one to remember the Tube!....... Piccidilly Tube ....
I played in all 3Wow, you must have been a serious rocker....lol
I liked the “Trailer Trash Sushi” which was a griddled chicken breast sandwich on a bun. Griddled is where they grill one side and fry the other side and had a little bit of wasabi smeared on one side to give it some extra taste. The other meal I really liked was their chicken fried rice.....perfect on a cold winter night....ah...good times.Favorite two things from Shanghai cowgirl:
1: Philly cheesesteak sandwich. Best I’ve ever had, even beat Philadelphia.
2: trashy waitresses. And the classy kind of “queen st west girl” trashy: covered in tattoos, rides a bike with a basket and will ask you to spank them on a first date.
