How about having to take the Yonge 97 with all the other drunks (aka zoo route) home after a night of clubbing, being drunk off you ass looking at back pages of NOW magazine...lol.

Sirt if already mentioned this in a previous post but something jarred my memory to mention it again..lol.
Those routes were sometimes called “The vomit comet”. Used to take the bloor vomit comet home. I remember at like 3 in the morning and my drunk buddy started singing Monty Pythons Always look on the bright side of life and everyone on the bus joined in and sang it all the way home. Hilarious.

Indeed another name was the vomit comet. I had nights where things of that nature happened. See all kinds of shit taking the yonge 97 home.

For you sports fans out there, before the 24 hour sports networks came along, Global Sportsline was the show to watch. As a kid I remember have to try to stay up late to watch it. Loved it.

The intro really gives me nostalgia if you watch this clip from about the 31 to 39 mark that into/music should really resonate with you:

Back in the day, I believe Sportsline featured Bob McCown doing Blue Jays baseball on global tv. He was always critical of their players and was totally disliked by them. One year, the Jays had a golf tournament in Mississauga and McCown played there ( he was as very good golfer). He was known to drive a Mercedes convertible and he happened to park it in a handicap spot illegally as he was a real asshole. When the players were leaving the golf course, some recognized his car which still had the top down and a number of them pissed all over the seats of the car. True story. LOL.

Toronto used to have some really good local-centric TV back in the day.

Now, it's all just shit and (so called) reality shows. I miss the old City TV before it was sold to CTV (or Bell or Rogers or whoever). They had some great content and personalities you liked. Gone are the days.
I agree CITYTV sucks now. Used to watch everyday and depending on what time I was home it was always good.

What was their thing? Movies, Music and News?

It was great until the sale, yes and they started firing people I grew up with.

I can honestly say I NEVER watch City now. Couldn’t name 3 personalities there.

Watch CP24 alot now for my local stuff.

Ben Wicks, David Susskind, Alan Hamel, Alan Thicke, Take 30, Joyce Davidson, Magistrate's court, the Galloping Gourmet.......all shows I remeber from the 1970's weekday afternoons the odd time I'd be home from school.
Joyce Davidson - what a MILF!!!!

Gorgeous face and really nice tits.

oh to have her today as she looked then.

She was so hot!

I miss the old Fantasia and Bunnies strip in the late 90’s. Lots of import models to be had during that time.

Now it’s just local talent :(
the tv channel "Toronto 1"
A bunch of them got their start there notably Dina Pugliese (annoying).

I just found out a few days ago that Sarika Seghal who worked at Toronto 1,CHCH, CBC, etc passed away a couple years ago…..

Back in the old days, people knew how to spell the word "nostalgia". Just sayin'.
Back in the really old days, motorists in Toronto actually respected pedestrian right of way. Saw it with my own eyes...
