People in Brazil are fed up with Brazil's president and want him out.

He has dismissed covid entiredly, firing his health minister who recommended social distancing.

As a result of his recklessnes, cases of covid havde sykrocktetd to 80,000 with 6000 dead. Hospitals are overfilled and on the brink of collapse. He still refuses to do anything and doesn't care.

This is even crazier, because covid is a winter virus, and is not very prevalent in tropical countries. The high tempertuare and humiidity of Brazil should have made covid very easty to control because it would make it less transmiissible.

This is the polar opposite of New Zealand, which has effectively wiped out the virus and has less than 10 deaths.

So, people sitll think that there's no need for lockdowns?

Yeah, I hate Trump, but Trump is at least listening to his experts and is taking some action. This guy just doesn't give a shit about people dying.

One is just utterly incompetent and stupid, the other is just plain evil.

It is Brazil afterall, a lockdown would greatly depress the kidnapping industry and if lots of business closed the extortion industry would collapse.

Then why hasn't he ramped up testing? Nobody can truthfully say that a country like the US does not have the capability and resources.

So a viable thread about what is happening in Brazil turns into a bash trump thread again.

He's not wrong though, Is he?
He had 0 to say or contribute. He voiced no opinion on anything.

So based on that, he must agree that Bolsonaro and trump have a lot of similarities.

Are you joking????

Brazil
No Lockdown
209 MILLION population
5,466 dead

Canada
Insane Lockdown
38 Million population
3,082 dead

Brazil is kicking our asses in terms of way less infections, way lower percent of death, and way fewer civil liberty violations
If you think he should be "tried for murder" what do you think is appropriate response to Trudeau and Tam?

Mass graves for poor people
And?

You do realize we have mass graves in places like NYC as well
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P6Tleba2HCk
Our population (Canada) is far more spread out than Brazil (or NYC) hence no need for mass graves

Which makes our death toll even more pathetic, since our much smaller population is spread over a larger area and we practice social distancing
Oh and my link comes from a far more reputable source

I do realize they were dug in NYC as well. That's what happens, whether in Brazil or NY or anywhere else, when a deadly illness wipes out a ton of ppl. As per reputable source, I just picked the first video I found. The mass graves are legit.

TJ your post is highly misleading. Brazil is early in its cycle so wait a month or 2 before looking at revised figures.

Brazils curve is rising while Canada`s curve is descending for new cases.
Brazil went from 100 cases to close to 100,000 in the last 6 weeks.

Brazil deaths started in Mid March while Canadian deaths started in mid January. Quite the head start when deaths could double in less than a week.
So we`ll take a look at the numbers in June. OK?
