Bill Hewitt and colour man , Brian Mcfarlane
Loved Hewitt. Absolutely hated Mcfarlane. Brian Conacher was pretty bad also.

Did Howie Meeker ever do colour?

Intermission guy? Gotta be Dave Hodge. 2nd place to Ward Cornell.

Favourite Esso spokesman...Murray Westgate.

Just figured out the best colour man. Harry Neale. Knowledgeable and a sharp wit.

I like the way Bowen and Ralph go together.
I always liked Chris Cuthbert, although he was not exclusively a Leafs play by play man.

You are too young. LOL

Do you remember Dan Kelly?
No, but I do remember Dick Beddoes, and here's a little story for you.

When I was a young lad, I'm watching a leaf game with Dad. Beddoes is calling the game. It was the second period I believe and 3 goals had been scored in a short time span between both clubs. So a few minutes go by and Beddoes then says "There have been no goals scored here in the second period, except for the 3 that you just saw". Dad and look at each other to verify we both just heard what we thought we heard. Needless to say we ended up laughing for about 10 minutes.

LOL.
BBL I remember Pete Mahavolich saying, right after his retirement, and he had a bit of a tryout doing some analysis of some playoff games saying (can't remember the exact teams so forgive) "for the Bruins to beat the Flyers tonight, they're going to have to out-score them". LOL.

haha!

Off topic but that reminds of this time a buddy of mine and I went to Franky Tomato's. (All you can eat Italian Buffet) The host is bringing us to our table and one of us asked "are drinks including in the Buffet?" and she replies "yes but you have to pay for them"

An old Gumby episode: The sign says "milkshakes all you can drink for 10 cents". Gumby asks for another milkshake, the soda jerk says "that will be another 10 cents." Gumby says "but the sign says all you can drink for 10 cents" and the guy says "that's all you CAN drink for 10 cents" lol.

Very similar: Brian Conacher doing the colour commentary and he says, "For the Leafs to win, they have to stay on the ice."

You have to be joking me. Like nails on a fucking chalk board. I can't even watch when he's calling a game. Thank god he doesn't get to many leaf games.
Sorry BBL, we have to agree to disagree on this. I love the way his voice rises and falls with the play. Similar to Doc Emrick and Joe Bowen. They can make a mediocre game seem exciting. They can also make me run into the room from elsewhere to see what's happening in the game when I hear their voices rise in pitch and volume.

I've actually never heard anyone say they like him when this topic comes up. I remember listening to Prime Time with Bob Cat and his co-host one time and 3 on the panel were talking about they hated listening to him call a game. Joe Bowen is good on the radio, but I think it's time he retires the "Holy Mackinaw" shtick. It lost it's luster a long time ago.

I also have trouble listening to CC.

The guy who I hated the most, and thankfully he's gone, is Paul Romanuk. The guy tried too hard to be the 2nd Danny Gallivan and failed miserably.
