They would be wasting money the longer they keep it open. The number of clients will drop drastically and end in none as weeks go by.
I just checked their Twitter timelines and a number of ladies who work for them have taken a stance and decided not to work, for the foreseeable future. I hope the remaining ladies and management recognize the severity of this pandemic and make the right decision.

I see a clear corellation between ladies in the ads and their shady profile with reviews like "user" "messy" "unstable" "moody"; sadly who's posting ads today corresponds to those description, they have no savings and they are leaving from one client to the next. Probably prices will fall shorty and we will see 80/hh for someone that never went under 120.

The virus is thought to spread mainly from person-to-person.
Between people who are in close contact with one another (within about 6 feet).
Through respiratory droplets produced when an infected person coughs or sneezes.
These droplets can land in the mouths or noses of people who are nearby or possibly be inhaled into the lungs.
Given the virus is spread through close contact and massage by nature there is a lot of touching, friction, heavy breathing, and potential for an exchange of fluids, If someone gets sick as a result of visiting their spa or it's spread from someone who visited the spa, they're gonna be in a lot of hot water, potentially long-term implications...short sighted ignorance. Those girls who are still working, you have a good idea as to their personal integrity. It's amazing what people will do for a quick buck. They should close.
Remember that there are many SWers who cant afford to not be working so SPAs allowing them to work with procedures in place to best protect them and the client seems appropriate. There is always a risk in anything but if the the client and MA also took proper precautions in their personal life then that would make it even safer.
As long as the Spa isnt forcing anyone to work, I'm OK with them staying open. We are all adults and can make our own decisions
Normally I would agree with you but in this case I don't.
You can go there, become infected, infect dozens of people without ever showing systems.
So you could be making your own decisions, but affecting other people. It's irresponsible.
Unfortunately, until banks start pushing back mortgage payments which in turn lets landlords push back rent payments, these girls are gonna have to work to survive.

There is no procedure a spa can put in place that will protect people. Social distancing isn't possible during an MA service.
Exactly. I don't blame the girls an applaud the ones who have done the right thing. I blame ownership. If they really cared about their staff, they'd help out financially instead of using them as an excuse to stay open
Yes, I am totally baffled by how some people out there believe that washing your hands and appearing healthy is enough! Especially when just being in a crowd can pass it along to so many (see patient 31).
And this ad, of course, ensures that everyone will be safe:
"side note: only contact me if you are completely healthy, have no cough or anything at all. I'm healthy too and taking extra precautions to not spread the virus or have it spread to me so please do the same"

Wait a moment here. I am a landlord. Neither the bank nor me care much if the bank postpones my mortgage payment: both of us know these payments will be made eventually since the house is a collateral. However, there is no way I will allow my tenants to postpone the rent and accumulate $10,000 in deferred rent since they have no collateral and can simply move out without paying me. If we are talking about fair risk transfer, such deferred rent payments must be guaranteed by the government or banks (i.e., easier personal loans for rent payments)
Trust me, I'm a landlord too. The most I'm willing to discount is so that the rent just covers my mortgage, but it's a shitty situation to be sure.
This is not a surprise - it was bound to happen to someone - kudos to Amber for being so upfront and honest - we all hope that she recovers soon.
Folks - it would be a good idea to take a good look & remember the MA's & SP's that are still advertising on LL today because they are not interested in anything but $$$.
If anyone thinks that they are immune to this virus they are unbelievably stupid.
If you value your health and/or the health of anyone that is close to you please please take some time off, distance yourself from others and wait this damn virus out. To do otherwise is deadly.

I've noticed two landlord commenting on here so far and several others shaming sex workers who are continuing to work.
For the landlords - while it is true that deferrals aren't much helpful long term, it's VERY important for landlords on top of everyone else to be pushing for there to be rent, utility and mortgage freezes during this so your tenants can stay inside safely and not potentially contaminate others. If your tenants still have to worry about making rent or else being evicted, they'll still have to keep going to work until forced not to
THIS is also why it is very important to support your local sex workers financially right now. Many sex workers are forced to keep working, regardless if they're terrified of doing so, because right now the alternative is they may not be able to eat, support their family or dependents, get their medication and pay their rent. Lots of the sex workers I know who are continuing to work have no other options - social distancing or quarantining isn't possible if you have no food or other necessities for living. Anyone continuing to work who has the ability not to is just being dangerous and completely reckless though.
So how can you help? Well first, I saw a thread a bit below this one discussing supporting local sex workers OnlyFans, other content or even just sending them money and lots of guys on here scoffed at the idea. The thing is, we NEED clients who are more secure financially to help us if we're going to stay inside. So subscribing to OnlyFans, buying content or even just sending a gift card for delivery or sending a little something can help those sex workers who still have to keep working immensely in being able to stay in.
I was only able to make the choice to stop seeing clients because of my OnlyFans payout and another local sex worker sent me enough to help me out for a little while, otherwise I would have had to keep working too.
If you are in any place right now to help others because you don't have to worry about staying in or continuing to go into work, please consider helping out your neighbours or local sex workers who may not have the same options and are stuck right now.

When an SP have to work now because she has literally no money (and no credit cards to support herself at basic survivor level for a month or two), it basically means that she was at the edge of broke all the time. The eviction process takes at least 2 months, and I am pretty sure that it would be impossible for a landlord to evict anyone now, so, what we are talking is about $500 for basic food supply (utilities will not be cancelled and even cell phone companies will wait at least a month before discontinuing services). So, who are these girls who do not have $500 and are not able to borrow $500? Sorry, but in my books such girls are not safe even during regular times.
With respect to landlords and tenants: landlords are at more risk (they are always at more risk). We are not "rich": the house/apartment we are renting out has 75% mortgage on it. And we are at most risk of losing money. Naturally, no one will evict anyone now, but rent must be paid on time and notice of "pay or get out" in case of non-payment will be given as usual, but it is just to mitigate the non-payment risk when the lock-out will be over.
Yes, many sex workers are not stable financially, this isn't a new fact. Who are these girls? Me. You're talking about me.
Care to explain how I'm not safe even during regular times?
No landlords are not more at risk. I'm not even sure why you're arguing about trying to push for freezes that will help you out also? Do your part to help your tenants however you can, end of story.
