How can you say that if its only 9am??
well it's 9am and last friday at around 9am the report was 39 tested positive...if the results of infected are getting lower by the day it means fewer people are getting symptoms...people are getting conscious and taking this pandemic seriously now and are being aware.

The news is positive. Hopefully, it is slowing down according to the latest figures. But more than 10,000 people have been tested. Almost the same as the USA as a nation.
That is why we are more prepared than then USA. If we are banning overseas citizens I think that should have applied to the Americans. Their figures are alarming and accelerating upwards.
The problem is that the Americans have realized that their own Healthcare cannot cope with that alarming rate, and Canada will be a much better option for them to get tested and treated as well.

From yesterdays 142 cases...so far we have 3 more added...this is a good sign.
100 new cases today ... total at 441 and 3 more deaths. Were you talking Ontario only? Or Toronto? There is a lot more to Canada ya know.

I had someone today tell me that the curve is flattening already, it was reported on the news.

This can’t possibly be true. I subscribe to the “what we know today is reality from 3 weeks ago” idea. I don’t think we are anywhere near the top of the curve yet. I would hope that would come around the 2nd week of April, once the distancing measures have time to be seen, and of course all the morons currently in resorts down south come home and make it through the incubation period, or not.

In the meantime, I really hope we are ramping up ventilator production, and getting temporary ICU’s up and running.

I saw a pic of such a set up in Hong Kong a little while ago. They looked like shipping containers that had what looked like private ventilator pods set up. A step up from the Wuhan temporary hospitals from all appearances.

We missed the containment window due to poor choices, poor planning and poor execution.

This next phase REALLY matters, and we have time to prepare for it.

Our leaders can not afford to drop the ball again.

I was in line with a nurse from an ICU today getting groceries.
She says this is all necessary as the hospitals just don't have enough beds and respirators, even after preperations.

Right, that’s why I said I hope we are making more beds and respirators.

“This is all we got, manage it” isn’t an acceptable course of action, in my opinion.

The sooner we get it the sooner this will all be over, save for a vaccine.

Raise your hand if you will be adding high quality masks and gloves to your home emergency kits following this outbreak. And extra food/supplies stored in your basement.
