There have been conflicting stories. Also, remember there is one law for the rich and one for us.

Yes, always two side to a story, but when I read stupid comments like this, it just makes me SMH.

“Kevin’s boat was flying with the bow up and probably obscured the view of the front of his boat,” the friend said, adding that O’Leary is “overselling” his side of the story."

That statement makes no sense. If the boat was "flying", that would indicate that it was up on plane. If that's the case, the bow wouldn't have been up and therefore wouldn't have obscured the driver's view.

Having met Kevin O'Leary and have actually had a conversation with him, I would characterize him as a douche bag and an ignorant pompous. And not surprised by the statement he released.
The statement he released regarding the accident was somewhat different than that of what the police said, which leads me to believe he is attempting to control the narrative of the accident. Why????

The accident happened on Lake Joseph where the very high majority of the properties are in the Millions of dollars, and is where most of the rich Ontarians own a cottage. It's going to be interesting to see how this accident plays out.

It doesn`t make sense and it seems to be coming from someone who wasn`t even there.

Another person who knows some of the people who were on the other boat said they are “pissed” about the businessman’s seemingly aggressive PR campaign.

I also think most people would agree with that statement. Given that he is a jerk, I kinda hope he is found guilty of something. However, even though he is a jerk, he or his wife may not be guilty of any wrongdoing. Maybe we should keep an open mind and not jump to conclusions. Let's hope the investigation is honest and transparent.

Who would let their wife captain a large , fast, powerful boat at night??????? Did "passenger" O'Leary get tested for impairment?

Um, someone who's wife is qualified?

Or are you stating a woman can't drive a boat?

His wife was "driving" because he was drunk and she sober. Impossible to prove otherwise.

Obviously wigglee thinks women are incapable of driving a boat at night. I take it he hasn't seen O'Leary's "large, fast, powerful boat." lol

The elephant in the room is obviously was he driving and agreed to let the wife take a hit because of his worth.

I agree that woman statement is stupid and ignorant AF.

It's quite possible O'Leary was driving the boat impaired, but his wife told Police she was. It's also quite possible his wife was not impaired and driving the boat.

On Dragons Den he was always willing to invest regardless of the ethics and would make deals that were one-sided. Struck me as arrogant know it all. Other Dragons disliked him and would tell him to shut up. He was the one Dragon I would never deal with. He would often brag about his wine collection so he is a drinker.

He was favored to win the Conservative leadership but he dropped out. He said he would run Canada like a business

Dunning-Kruger effect

The more limited someone is in reality, the more talented the person imagines himself to be. Or, as David Dunning and Justin Kruger put it in the title of their original scientific-journal article, “Unskilled and Unaware of It: How Difficulties in Recognizing One’s Own Incompetence Lead to Inflated Self-Assessments.”

As far as the accident goes, there is something called not at fault but preventable. Never drove a boat but at night I would be going super slow but better yet I would not do it. What about logs or fallen trees floating around? They are hard enough to see in the daytime

Night boating seems foolish to me

In post 10 he is boating without a life jacket. How smart is that?

I'm not saying a woman can't drive a boat, but I bet that in reality, 95% of speed boat pilots at night are men. I know nothing about O'Leary's wife. Maybe she is a Nascar champion! Maybe not...

Call me sexist if it pleases you, I'm supporting wigglee on this. In all my years on the water, I've seen a woman never navigate a boat. It probably happens, I've just never seen it.

The other victim of Trillionaire O'Leary's wanton arrogance has been revealed. Suzane Brito of Uxbridge, a mother of three young children.

In general, I find that power boaters are aggressive be they men or women. There's basically no restriction on who can operate power boats. The operator card program s a total joke. You can complete the exam online easily, which gets you the operator card.
