There was never any question he was going to start in triple A.Vlad Jr. out 3 weeks with an oblique strain. No question now he starts the season in triple A.

The longer he is delayed to the big show the longer until he becomes a free agent
He will not be in Rogers until next year
This.Congrats on dumbest post of the year. He'll be here 100% at some point this year.
I know you did George, that's your style. For the most part, I'm pretty diplomatic as well but once in a while if something is galactically stupid it needs to be called out.This.
But, I tried to say it more kindly.
With this line-up I'll take the over 75.5Pinnacle Sports has set the Toronto Blue Jays O/U at 75.5 Wins.
Highly unlikely he'll be on the roster this year.Bichette might be on the roster later this year, but not OD
d
2021
Assuming the majority of the youngsters progress to significant major league levels, talent wise and there are few major health issues.this team could be in the playoff hunt(88-92 wins) in 2021
Just don't know why someone who is ranked as the 9th or 11th or 13th best prospect in baseball (depending on which ranking) can't be ready to make the move. He needs to start seeing major league pitching.Highly unlikely he'll be on the roster this year.
By 2021 they will have a lot of money saved on salaries so they may pick-up some elite players as well. Especially if they are right on the edge of being a contender.Assuming the majority of the youngsters progress to significant major league levels, talent wise and there are few major health issues.
This is definitely a wish list of a lineup as opposed to being grounded in reality. This is the most likely hitting lineup for at least the first 2 monthsI hope Bichette comes up with the team, and Biggio, and Tellez and of course Vlad jr when he's ready.
My pie in the sky line-up/battting order when Vlad comes week 4...
1. OF Billy McKinney
2. SS Bo Bichette
3. 1B Justin Smoak
4. 3B Vlad Guerrero Jr.
5. DH Kendrys Molasses (no typo) / Rudy Tellez
6. OF Richard Grichuk
7. OF Kevin Pillar
8. 2B Cavin Biggio
9. C Danny Jansen
With this line-up I'll take the over 75.5
No, I have not been drinking
And if they are not on the edge of being a contender?By 2021 they will have a lot of money saved on salaries so they may pick-up some elite players as well. Especially if they are right on the edge of being a contender.
No room for Teoscar Hernandez as a starter??This is definitely a wish list of a lineup as opposed to being grounded in reality. This is the most likely hitting lineup for at least the first 2 months
1. LF Billy McKinney
2. 2B Lourdes Gurriel Jr.
3. 1B Justin Smoak
4. DH Kendrys Morales
5. RF Randal Grichuk
6. 3B Brandon Drury
7. CF Kevin Pillar
8. SS Freddy Galvis
9. C Danny Jansen
That is a porous hitting lineup. McKinney will be lucky to reach a .300 OBP. We lack a true leadoff hitter, McKinney should be hitting 7th or 8th in the lineup. It will be interesting to see if Alford makes the squad, he's having a good spring at the dish. My hope is Morales has a good start to the season we can ship him off for something useful and bring up Tellez to be our full time DH. And if Guerrero gets his weight under control and Bichette continues to develop we could have a significantly better hitting lineup in the 2nd half.
I don't even want to get into the pitching. Particularly our bullpen, which could be one of the worst in MLB. Sigh.
The Jays have small incentive to bring up the youngsters as they will not compete. While it would fill a few more seats the longer they delay bringing them up the longer they delay free agency. What is stupid about that?I know you did George, that's your style. For the most part, I'm pretty diplomatic as well but once in a while if something is galactically stupid it needs to be called out.
Actually, that is a perfect time to bring up the youngsters. The team expectations are very low so there is not a lot of pressure for the kids to win. Just start honing your skills, get used to playing and hitting against major leaguers and management gets to see what they have. The Jays have small incentive to bring up the youngsters as they will not compete.
I repeat, if you delay their entry into the show do you not delay their F/A?Actually, that is a perfect time to bring up the youngsters. Of course it would push their FA eligibility back, but you can't risk screwing up the development of player by trying to push his contract back. This team wants to be competitive in the next few years, so to make sure he's ready, you have to bring him up now to get him going.I repeat, if you delay their entry into the show do you not delay their F/A?.
