I know you did George, that's your style. For the most part, I'm pretty diplomatic as well but once in a while if something is galactically stupid it needs to be called out.

Assuming the majority of the youngsters progress to significant major league levels, talent wise and there are few major health issues.
yes, nice to think about our coming dynamic young line up. But without an ace or two or three in the starting rotation - going to lose a lot of 7-5 type ballgames and wont get above .500.
So who can we project as an ace in 2021? Sanchez? maybe; Stroman? doubtful ; the 19 year old kid who throws hard? maybe; Sid Finch? always a possibility

Just don't know why someone who is ranked as the 9th or 11th or 13th best prospect in baseball (depending on which ranking) can't be ready to make the move. He needs to start seeing major league pitching.
By 2021 they will have a lot of money saved on salaries so they may pick-up some elite players as well. Especially if they are right on the edge of being a contender.
This is definitely a wish list of a lineup as opposed to being grounded in reality. This is the most likely hitting lineup for at least the first 2 months

That is a porous hitting lineup. McKinney will be lucky to reach a .300 OBP. We lack a true leadoff hitter, McKinney should be hitting 7th or 8th in the lineup. It will be interesting to see if Alford makes the squad, he's having a good spring at the dish. My hope is Morales has a good start to the season we can ship him off for something useful and bring up Tellez to be our full time DH. And if Guerrero gets his weight under control and Bichette continues to develop we could have a significantly better hitting lineup in the 2nd half.
I don't even want to get into the pitching. Particularly our bullpen, which could be one of the worst in MLB. Sigh.
And if they are not on the edge of being a contender?
BTW, Rogers has more money than the owners of the Yankees and the Sox. They could have spent money after the 2015 season on 1 or 2 elite players.

The Jays have small incentive to bring up the youngsters as they will not compete. While it would fill a few more seats the longer they delay bringing them up the longer they delay free agency. What is stupid about that?
Are they required to bring them up by union rules or for some reason I am unaware of? To please the fans is not worth losing a year to free agency

Actually, that is a perfect time to bring up the youngsters. The team expectations are very low so there is not a lot of pressure for the kids to win. Just start honing your skills, get used to playing and hitting against major leaguers and management gets to see what they have.
I repeat, if you delay their entry into the show do you not delay their F/A?

Do you know BBL? You talk like you know everything, but I do not want a pissing match. Keep it cordial.
Of course it would push their FA eligibility back, but you can't risk screwing up the development of player by trying to push his contract back. This team wants to be competitive in the next few years, so to make sure he's ready, you have to bring him up now to get him going.
Not to mention, the rest of baseball knows he's big league ready and would be scratching their heads as to why the organization wouldn't allow this young budding star his shot. It would be a PR disaster for any organization to do that to one of their up and coming superstars.
Can you imagine the Oilers kept Conner McDavid in there farm system because they didn't want to pay him???
I sure there's also something in the CBA that stops this from happening.
