^ This lady is my fantasy. Sex must have been incredible. "Patient A" will likely take her to the cleaners in civil court.
Your fantasy? You wanna get cancer, start treatment, get fucked, then have her fuck you by no longer treating you for....cancer???

You like sex more than I do.

Should she be punished?...yes..but losing her licence for good..no fucking way
She knew when she signed up for the gig that this behaviour results in an automatic license revocation... no questions asked.
There is no grey area or discretion... you engage sexually with a patient, and you lose your license... can you comprehend that?

Maybe you need to look at the whole story before you open your mouth...

"In September 2016, after having sex at the patient’s home, Sundaralingam told him she was in love with a colleague, the disciplinary panel heard. Their sexual relationship ended, documents say. By November 2015 she refused to see him."

I did. Based on the evidence, at some point in time she was his treating doctor, even if she dumped him later. The quote I provided clearly states that she was the treating doctor. As well, if she was never the treating doctor then the college could not have disciplined her.

Your argument fails.

ABUSER??? fuck that bullshit
She IS/WAS a great oncologist..I know her. met her many times during my treatments...
patient A never bothered to mention that he was pissed when she broke it off and basically tried to blackmail her into continuing the affair
Now because he couldnt accept that she broke it off..an oncologist ...which is a specialize discipline will never be able to help CA patients again
Patient A is nothing but a fucking douchebag and a pussy
Her license will be reinstated in the 3-4 years tops.

Totally my type of lady. Never met a lady that could keep up with my sex drive but this may be the one!

I think I agree with thumper on this.
Let's be pro sex.
And any relationship might not work out....

Yes, maybe she went over a line. Maybe .... we could expect him to be vulnerable.
So, a slap on the wrist.
But losing the license?

If she did this often....maybe....something else with it (that I do not see yet)....maybe.
Seems too harsh.

says this behavior by her is over the line. That is, by the rules auto loss of license.
I assume he is right.
BUT... from what I see, I do not know if I agree it SHOULD be over the line (that is, punished by loss of license).

Where is the damage?
I think I know he is ok, still living. I do not know how his cancer is going....

Hell, if i had cancer, and I wanted a good fuck, I might be most grateful to a good pretty doctor who is willing.
Might be something to live for....

I want to be
pro sex
not anti sex

And give small punishments for small offenses.
That's what I see so far....

Why does the state need to be involved in these intimate affairs between consenting adults?
(Well, I assume the state is taking away the license...)

its the College of Physicians and Surgeon tribunal that revoked her licence
the CMA and OHA also got on board with it

She will almost certainly never ever be issued a licence to practise medicine anywhere in North America for the rest of her life. She can apply for reinstatement in five years in Ontario but any physician that has had sexual intercourse with their patient and had their licence revoked has never been allowed to practice again

Your argument fails.
She dumped him, then refused to treat him.
That's a win for my argument, and a fail for yours.

Several times over the years I have seen articles about doctors who had many complaints against them alleging incompetence. In every case it took the College of Pysicians and Surgeons a long time to revoke their licence. Until that happened the doctors were free to harm patients through their incompetence. In this case because the issue had to do with sex the College acted quickly. I agree it is unethical for a doctor to have sex with a patient but do not think licence revocation is necessary in this case because the relationship was consentual. At the same time I realise the College had no choice in the matter because of the rules in place. I agree the patient only made a complaint because the doctor dumped him. People need to realise that every relationship has the possibility of ending, sometimes badly, and have the ability to deal with it in a mature way.

She dumped but after they had started the affair. Too late for a dumping. She'd already breached ethics.

The article uses the term "treating doctor" several times. Please explain how the college could revoke her licence if she never was the treating doctor? She did not plead innocent using dumping him as a defense. You are the only person applying this argument. Please address these points, if you care to continue.

That's a fail for lack of logic on your part.

In the words of Dave Chappelle, ‘Nigga that is a GOOD host’
invites you to his amusement park...serves you wine and cheese....sucks your dick...and this is how you're going to repay me? I thought you have 6 months to live? lol...

Where did I EVER state that she never treated him?
Now you are just inventing shit.
Fail on your part.

And she broke the ethics of a treating doctor by engaging in sexual activity while she was the treating doctor. The fact that she dumped him at some after makes no difference.

Until she dumps you for the next guy and you go all sad masty. Urban Dictionary, look it up.

She got what she deserves. It's not like she'd have trouble finding a lineup of guys to bang her daylights out.

All they did was treat her like they would any male doctor who had sex with his patient. I don't see what the issue is here. She's an idiot who ruined her career because she couldn't keep her pants on. The end!

What's good for the goose is good for the gander.

FYI
A goose is a female
A gander is a male
In a group, they're called geese.
