To be perfectly honest....not directed at you.
I'd rather deal with a miserable prick who's straight up rather than a two faced ass cough who'll lie to me at every turn.
If I went to one of Miserable Prick's restaurants, and they served me bolognaise, I would pull an Oscar Madison. Throw it against the wall an yell, YOU KNOW NOTHING MISERABLE PRICK.
I know a few Scotsmen who share Ramsay's temperament, their word is as good as their signature.

I agree. It is a persona he created. I imagine that he doesn't have to work too hard at it, but an act none the less.
Well then Gordon Ramsay is blessed in other ways. He was born in Inverness which is about as hardcore prick as they come. During his latest docu-cookery he would wake up his frenemy Gino D'Acampo by banging his cazzone on the Italian's foot. Gino got even in typical fashion.
Seems like an unpleasant enough guy, but doesn't bother me that much, as I don't make a habit of watching him. Just don't know why it is an accepted convention for cooks to be abusive assholes. Was listening to a CBC interview with someone years ago who was espousing the tradition of abusive cooks, and had amusing anecdotes to back up his opinion.I guess you had to be there to find it entertaining. I have worked in situations where there were commercial kitchens and the cooks who were polite and friendly with their staff were just as good as those who were cunts. In the same CBC interview, it was mentioned how many chefs had committed suicide because they had lost a star in the Michelin ratings. I googled it. Seems there have been a couple.
