Ya I loved sitting in Exhibition stadium for an April/May or September game with that cold win blowing of the lake, It was freezing cold, no thanks i'll take a domed stadium over an open stadium every time.

The coldest I've ever been in my life was at a Toronto Blizzard game in April at Exhibition Stadium. Not even the spicy roti I snuck in from Bacchus could warm me up! He didn't say if the new stadium will have a retractable roof. He only said that the stadium will be angled to take in the skyline, which will make great tv when a home run is hit.
Pirates stadium doesn't have a retractable roof, I have no issue with rough weather, but i wouldn't want to sit through a baseball game in April or May at night when it's cold not to mention the wind blowing off the lake. The whole point is to go and enjoy yourself, it's entertainment, in order to be entertained i would like to be comfortable.
He was horrific last year. And that was in a super pitcher friendly park. These idiots don't have a clue how to make trades or sign free agents.

How many people would go to a game in April or May without a roof? It's not just people like me, I think the majority feel that way, go look at the attendance figures during those times at Exhibition stadium, I went to some of those games and to say there was a sparse crown would be being kind.
Not just these days, back in those days not many were going when it was cold. I went a few times because I love baseball and froze my ass off.

That's what draws people to games...lol. Most stadium are half empty if the team sucks.
Shapiro just had a heart attack with the thought that Atkins would even consider spending the a mount of U.S. dollars it would take to sign Harper. If you sign Harper ( or anyone else that might resemble a real player). you better go get some starting pitching because the house leaguers they have signed to date won't get the job done. Offence would have to score double digits to win most games!
