The "Who's Final Tour", the final concert was at MLG in 1982, it was suppose to be their last concert ever, it was televised on CITY TV.

Anyone actually go to this concert?

Boy, Roger and Pete have aged quite a bit, but for some reason, John Entwistle, not so much.

City TV started out at 99 Queen St East, the set for those news broadcasts back then were just so plain and bare minimum.

There used to be a pub in the basement of Hydro Place (University/College) - called "DJ's" in the early '80's. Anyway, it used to have 25 cent draft beer on Fridays and my classmates and I would go directly from UofT to there to start the weekend. They were small glasses (maybe 7 oz) and we would order rounds that required 3 waitresses to carry out. I was living in an apartment on Madison that was $230/month with no lease... It was SO easy to be a student back then.

Wow. I went there quite a bit from '76-'78 for lunches. We had to walk between classes and Hydro Place was en route.

In the late 60's the tallest building in Toronto was the TD tower. I was invited to a birthday party of one of my elementary school class mates at the newly built TD tower. It was such a thrill, as the party was at the Mcdonald's in the TD complex. It was the first time I had ever been to MickeyDees. It was a simple menu back then, burger , fries and a milkshake is what we had.

After eating at the Mcdonald's we went up the tower to the observation deck, was such a thrill to be that high up looking down upon the city.

1970 crash of Air Canada Flight 621 at Toronto International Airport, all 108 crew and passengers killed ,I remember the photo of the crash site on the front page of the Toronto Daily Star vividly as a kid, tragic totally tragic as it was ruled pilot error.

1996 death of Indy Car driver Jeff Krosnoff at the 1996 Molson Indy. I was at that race, didn't see the crash , but I heard it, a big loud "Thud" and the crowd reacting. A race worker was also killed as a wheel from Krosnoff's car hit him on the head, killing him instantly.

The Idler Pub on Davenport Rd. It was founded to support a literary magazine called The Idler. One of the great Canadian magazines, it folded in the early 90's. The pub lasted until 2002. It was a writers' hangout with weekly readings. You could always find interesting conversation and good drink there. I miss it.

The Diamond, lots of memories from that club, as I frequented that place a lot.

Anyone remember that hot blonde Diamond Dancer that would do a dance routine with her male partner on the stage ( they would dance to "When Doves Cry" with complex dance moves) ?

She was hot!as hell, her body was just made for fucking!
