Here you are on a tangent. I didn't say it wasn't a serious crime to send fake bombs in the mail. It is. What you can't get your head around is that they were non-functioning bombs. It's also a crime to pull a fake replica gun on someone and threaten them, but impossible to kill them with one.

Sayoc faces five federal crimes, and, if convicted of these crimes, he faces up to 58 years in prison, Attorney General Jeff Sessions said during a Friday press conference.

Those crimes include interstate transportation of explosives, illegal mailing of an explosive, threats against a former president and certain other person and assault against current and former operatives.

Those charges could change and expand as investigation proceeds.

FBI Director Chris Wray confirmed that 13 IEDs were discovered. Each included about 6 inches of PVC pipe, a small clock, a battery, writing and energetic, potentially explosive material.

Wray added that while laboratories are still analyzing the devices, they "are not hoax devices."

He also warned that there may be other packages in transit now.

Can you wrap your head around what is a potentially explosive material?? A fake gun does not have real bullets, so it cannot potentially kill anyone.

Intentionally sending explosive materials in the mail is NOT FAKE, NOT A HOAX, NOT A FARCE. Now, do you get it??

I have a measure of sympathy for a guy who obviously has numerous mental issues and has clearly Fallen through the cracks.

But there can't be any excuse or shifting of blame. He has admitted it already to LE. All that's left is the clean up, paperwork, and to slam the door.

And hopefully everyone on both sides of the aisle takes it down a notch. And it has no real effect on the midterms.

Well you do not understand Chemistry for sure if you compare it to Charcoal. You are getting more and more hilarious with your ridiculous comparisons of Charcoal with a Chemical that has the potential to be damaging if they are exposed to Heat, Shock or Friction.
