There doesn't have to be proof, it isn't a trial. If that's the standard you want, then the proof needs to be that he's the most worthy candidate out of the 350,0000,000 who aren't. Being a high Justice of the Supreme Court isn't something we assume anyone is up to, until someone proves they aren't.Its a she said he said, there is no proof. He has a good reputation all these years, nobody else complained. Its a political witch hunt, the sooner its over the better.
I have never seen a speech enrage feminists the way hers did. If you want some great entertainment head over to https://splinternews.com/ and read the forums. It makes TERB look like a high society gala.Senator Collins made an excellent speech on the floor of the Senate yesterday.
Nah, the vote will completely deflate the Democrats. The riots should start anytime now :biggrin1:
Avenatti lost all credibility with his "gang rape" accusation. That was simply unbelievableDemocrat insiders and placing partial blame on Avenatti for his crazy client and placing the focus on him.
He in turn is calling the Dems cowards.
Getting more fun!
This is a utter tragedy and it is largely the fault of Ted Kennedy who launched this age of the personal attack.
Before 1987 the consideration was entirely: is this person well qualified, rather than do I philosophically agree with them. Even after that when a Justice was confirmed they were confirmed, that was the end of the partisanship, there was none of what happened today with continuing protests and members of Congress saying well if my party takes control in January, we are going to launch an investigation (which destroys the U.S. Supreme Court).
Then Danmand and friends trash on the Canadian Monarchy! :frusty:
^ Indeed I consider Roe v. Wade and Griswold v. Connecticut to be entirely settled law. Then again since I do not have a crystal ball I can only look at how Justice Kavanaugh comported himself during his 12 years on the Court of Appeals and how he says he feels these cases should be viewed. I pay far less attention to the palavering of the President as to the type Justice he was going to nominate, and far more to the record of the person he in fact nominated.
Any of us can lie through our teeth. However, one would only hope that a member of the Bar, let alone a Judge of the U.S. Court of Appeals has greater personal integrity than that.
Why. She is popular enough to win on a write in ballot. And instead of voting against she voted present ensuring that the missing Senator's did not affect the outcome. The Republicans should kick Sen Murkowski out of the party immediately. She's an abomination. If they don't the Alaskan voters will hang her in 2022.
Manchin I have to give credit to. He was basically screwed either way he voted. Vote no and he likely loses his seat to Morrissey. Vote yes and risk alienating many Un Democratic voters who may not show up at the polls. Damn politics is a blood sport.
