Every woman who believes they have been taken advantage of by a man (whether sexually or not, and whether true or not) will side with Kavanaugh's accuser. However, at least as many women (if not more) will understand that there are women who are capable of fabricating these allegations and/or rewriting history to cover for their own behaviour. Women on rape juries can often be more judgmental about the shared responsibility of the victim for what occurred than men on that same jury.

This is all in his financial disclosures, and show high amounts of personal line of credit and credit card debt (for his level of salary) - eg: $200,000 at one point on three cards. This debt just vanished one month, paid off - so how did he pay off these debts? That's why there were questions about possible gambling problem. A judge, possible gambling problem, high fluctuations in personal debt.. yeah, what could possibly go wrong here?

If I recall correctly, I read that his family paid off his debts. (Maybe that's just the cover story)

I agree, I don't buy the "whoops, I bought too many baseball tickets" story. The Washington Nationals have been stuck in the middle of the pack for the last several years. Wonder where you get all your misinformation from. Kavanaugh's own classmate Mark Judge was apparently present during the sexual assault case, although he is denying it. That is why the Democrats want the FBI to get involved so that they can truly investigate it. Otherwise, they also want Judge to appear at the senate Committee and testify. Judge actually wrote in his book that the school was swimming in alcohol and it was all about parties and women. He has slammed women feminists as well as Obama in his books that he has authored.

Quite what "truth" do you expect would be able to be uncovered 36 years later?

If you were in your early 50's do you believe you can comprehensively recall details from 36 years ago? Then we have the other issues: how do you prove a negative? Further even if you presume the whole story is true, both parties were minors. Then you have the whole issue of redemption, have we now gotten to the point that (presuming the story is true) you do something at 17 and even if the next 35 years of your life are spotless you can never be forgiven?
