Usually stick to books on CD

Tried to read "American War" which came in 2nd in "Canada Reads" on CBC, but couldn't get in to it. Interesting map of what North America will look like after about another 150 years or so of climate change, though. Augusta, Georgia as a seaport, Florida only assorted island dots ...:apthy:

the book has footnotes and citations to sources i currently reading the kindle version and recently media outlets like VICE Media openly supports pedophilia
Any idiot can write a paper or book with footnotes or citations. We were taught how and when to use them as children.

Didn't you completely fail to prove this about Vice pretty recently?

You linked to two articles which focused on pedophiles, both of which clearly favoured rehabilitation and/or essentially chemical castration.

You were asked to find the quotes or explain how the articles in any way shows that “Vice openly supports pedophilia” and you moved on. Like you probably will this time.

If you follow this up with a link, I’m hoping it’ll be a link to Vice and the quote that clearly shows “Vice openly supports pedophilia.”

It’s like saying that “Fox openly supports xenophobia” by linking to two articles about MS 13 or a terrorist attack made by some radical Islamic group.

if you bothered to read the vice media articles you will see they see pedophiles as innocent people that need protection

I’ve read it twice, and can’t find the quotes where they ‘support pedophilia.’ That’s what you said. Bet you a soda you can’t find it either.

Let us know when you find the quotes that supports that “they see pedophiles as innocent people that need protection.”

Vice regularly reports on terrorism, human slavery, and genocide. It doesn’t mean they support it.

Bonk: The Curious Coupling of Science and Sex by Mary Roach. Very fun read....vastly different from Mein Kampf.
Right? Listened to the Roach version on Audible which felt a bit weird in public at times.

Mein Kampf; it’s been a lot of years, and it was kind of exciting at the time, but a huge let down once you get to the last page if you’re intelligent. Glad it was required reading for uni courses, because it’s not worth reading if it wasn’t, and I’m overall glad I slogged through it. As stupid as it is, it’s canon.

Just started Friday afternoon:

"You must read this book. Everett Piper is a man of courage and conviction. He stands nearly alone as an academic leader confronting the ideological fascism of the snowflake rebellion. His call for intellectual freedom must be heard."—GLENN BECK

What has happened to the American spirit? We've gone from "Give me liberty, or give me death!" to "Take care of me, please." Our colleges were once bastions of free speech; now they're bastions of speech codes. Our culture once rewarded independence; now it rewards victimhood. Parents once taught their kids how to fend for themselves; now, any parent who tries may get a visit from the police.

In Not a Day Care, Dr. Everett Piper, president of Oklahoma Wesleyan University and author of the viral essay, "This Is Not a Day Care. It's a University!," takes a hard look at what's happening around the country--including the demand for "safe spaces" and trigger warnings at universities like Yale, Brandeis, and Oberlin--and digs in his heels against the sad and dangerous infantilization of the American spirit.

Men and women used to cheer: vive la différence!

But now, contrary to all science and common sense, we’re supposed to believe that there is no difference. (And if you insist there is, you just might be accused of a hate crime!)

Our culture—and our laws—are endorsing a worldview rooted in craziness.
For instance, we’re told that:

•Boys who think they’re girls (and who could change their minds tomorrow) should be allowed to participate in girls’ sports—and shower in their locker rooms

•Expectant mothers are now “birthing individuals”

•Coed college dorm rooms and bathrooms are great, but single-sex clubs are a campus danger

•It’s horrible for stores to have separate boys and girls clothing departments (let alone toy sections)

•It would be a great idea for our military to lower physical standards and push young women and mothers into combat roles in the military

If you think that’s insanity, you’re not alone, but you might be surprised at just how widespread—and successful—this lunatic campaign has become.

In her compelling new book, Sex Scandal, journalist Ashley McGuire takes this radical campaign to task and reveals:

•How so-called “gender-norming” flies in the face of science (which is proving that men and women are even more different than commonly acknowledged)

•Why—especially if you have kids—it’s almost impossible to avoid the dangerous consequences of a “gender neutral” world

•How embracing sexual differences can make policing safer, government more efficient—and hedge funds lose less money

•How “gender neutrality” is making women more vulnerable to violence

•How the word “gender”—formerly a grammatical term—has been used to dismiss the reality of definite, biological “sex” (male and female) with fluid “gender identities”

•Why “gender” insanity is not something we can just ignore and hope will fade away, but need to refute—now—with hard, cold facts before it does any more damage (which it likely will)

Sex Scandal: The Drive to Abolish Male and Female is packed with news-breaking interviews, shocking examples, and “inconvenient” facts that everyone needs to read—and act on.

Sunny's Nights: Lost and Found at a Bar on the Edge of the World by Tim Sultan
Antonio "Sunny" Balzano was an artist who traveled the world making art and friends but not much money. Late in his life he returned to the Red Hook neighborhood of Brooklyn to manage his father's bar. In the 1990's Red Hook was a largely abandoned urban wasteland inhabited by those who were too poor or too weird to be anywhere else. By the sheer force of his beatific personality Sunny transformed a neighborhood dive into one of the hippest bars in Brooklyn. The author is a writer who worked there as a bartender. It's a good story.

The publisher says this book "exposes the political forces around the world that are cooperating to unite the people of this planet under a New World Order. Some of the most recognizable names in America are on this list!"
