You are backing the ones who kill more civilians.
The vast majority of Palestinians killed in the past two years were killed during attacks on Israelis. But instead of criticizing Palestinians who attempt to murder Israeli civilians and soldiers, you criticize Israel for having to stop them.

And while you are backing Palestinians terrorism and the goal of destroying Israel, I'm backing a two state peace.

Yet you keep claiming it is the right of Palestinians to commit violence.
Palestinians have a right to defend themselves from ongoing colonization and occupation, according to the Geneva Conventions.
It would be far better had Israel given them equal rights or their country back.

And look at you once again justifying terrorism and violence. And they have absolutely zero right to attack civilians doing it. Hamas consistently describes terrorism as fighting the occupation or defending Palestinians. Nice to see you parroting the claims of terrorists. It shows your true beliefs.

If you had a shred of morals you would be criticizing Palestinian violence and promoting peace.

Speak to the Palestinians; they are pretty set against having equal rights with Israelis.
Palestinians don't trust Israel to give them equal rights, the situation for Israel Arabs highlights Israel's present 'equal rights', as the UN report notes, its part of the apartheid system.
But if they really had full equal rights, instead of apartheid, I'm sure they'd support it.

You're backing a two state solution based on Israel taking the land they want.
That's colonialism and that is part of why Palestinians and Israelis think the two state solution is dead.

I support a negotiated two state peace. Olmert's offer should have been accepted but Abbas knew he couldn't sell it to the Hamas or even most of his own party because it would mean a permanent peace with Israel.

Not at all, neither side is allowed to attack civilians, and Palestinian's right of self defence does not include civilians....
Actually Israel has 100% right to stop attacks on their civilians. The vast majority of Palestinians killed in the past two years were killed while engaged in terrorism or attacks on soldiers. The vast majority killed in since 2009 were killed while trying to stop Palestinian terrorists attacking from deep within the civilian population. As I said, you refuse to criticize Palestinian attackers but you hate on Israel for trying to stop them.

And the fact that you refuse to address is that a great many Palestinian attacks were attempts to kill civilians. the vast majority of Israeli attacks were attempts to kill Palestinian attackers. neither is good but there is a huge moral difference between the two. And don't worry, no one will ever accuse you of morality.

711 of those killed by Israel were children.
1595 of those killed by Israel were not involved in fighting

That's more then two thirds of those killed who were civilians or children.
Once again you are lying when you claim the 'vast majority' were engaged in terrorism.

Thats 2306 of 3017 who were most definitely not engaged in terrorism.

Why do you lie so much when you try to defend Israeli war policies?

Your posting of stats is a pathetic attempt to avoid discussing that Hamas and other Palestinian factions are trying to commit terrorism while Israel is trying to stop them.

According to HRW, 150 of the Palestinians killed in 2016 were killed during the commission of terrorism or attacks on soldiers.

The wars in Gaza were a direct response to Hamas using Gaza as a base for endless terror rocket attacks. The civilian toll would have been non-existent if Hamas wasn't trying to kill Israelis while hiding in churches, hospitals, and schools. But you won't blame Hamas for their terror rockets while their hiding in the civilian population. Even then, Israel went to extreme lengths to minimize civilian deaths.

Why do you lie so much while supporting Palestinian terrorism?

Who cares who is 'trying', Israel is the one killing way more and you keep excusing them.

And since you're quoting HRW, lets take a look at what they say.
Israel’s abuse of human rights within the Occupied Palestinian Territories further deteriorated since its last Universal Periodic Review in 2012. This submission covers five categories of systematic Israeli violations during this period, many of which have recurred consistently over the past 50 years of prolonged military occupation: (1) unlawful killings and war crimes without accountability; (2) illegal settlements and institutional discrimination; (3) forced displacement; (4) prolonged closure of Gaza and unjustified movement restrictions in the West Bank; and (5) abusive detention. While the submission focuses on violations by Israel, as the state under review, Human Rights Watch has documented severe rights violations by the Palestinian Authority, Hamas and Palestinian armed groups.

Unlawful killings and war crimes without accountability
In its last UPR review of Israel, a number of states recommended Israel to “fight impunity by thorough and impartial investigations on all the allegations of human rights violations, including when these allegations involve members of security forces or settlers.” However, Israel has continued to fail to credibly investigate unlawful killings and hold violators to account for wrongdoing.

In the single bloodiest escalation during the review period, Israeli forces killed 1,462 Palestinian civilians in Gaza, including 551 children, in July-August 2014 according to UN figures. Many of these attacks amounted to violations of international humanitarian law, some war crimes, including: the targeting of civilians and apparent civilian structures; indiscriminate attacks on civilians, including the use of weapons with wide area affects; and the failure to take all feasible precautions to spare civilians. Armed Palestinian groups also committed war crimes during this period and at other times, including rocket attacks targeting Israeli population centers.

Israel’s military advocate general received over 500 complaints from individuals and human rights groups with regard to 300 attacks that occurred during this war, but launched criminal investigations into only 37. At time of writing, Israeli authorities had filed criminal charges against only three soldiers, for theft.

In policing situations in the West Bank and Gaza, Israeli security forces repeatedly used excessive force, killing or grievously wounded demonstrators, rock-throwers, suspected assailants and others with live ammunition when lesser means could have averted a threat or maintained ordered.

In October 2015, a new escalation of violence broke out, characterized by demonstrations, some violent, in the West Bank and at the Gaza border with Israel that Israeli forces have suppressed, often using live fire. There has also been a wave of stabbings and attempted stabbings during this period by Palestinians against Israeli passersby and security forces, both in the West Bank and Israel, it appears in most cases by people acting without the sponsorship of any armed group.

Israeli security forces used lethal force against Palestinians suspected of committing attacks in Israel and the West Bank, killing more than 160. Video footage, eyewitness accounts and forensic evidence indicate that Israeli forces used excessive force on numerous occasions—intentionally using lethal force when not absolutely necessary to protect human life.

Isn't it funny how much of that report you had to pretend didn't exist to find that 160 number, including Israel killing 551 children.
551 children HRW reports Israel killed but you don't have any issue with that at all.

Wow. You surprise us once again by putting terrorism on the same moral level as stopping terrorism.
Funny how you don't have a problem with killing 551 children if its in the name of 'stopping someone trying terrorism'.
Or is that more disgusting....

Just give them equal rights.
End the apartheid occupation.

I have a problem with Hamas hiding behind kids wile committing terror attacks.

I am against war but I am even more against terrorism. The fact that Israel went to massive lengths to protect civilians while stopping Palestinian terror speaks volumes.

Great article. In which the IDF pulls a Trump and gives themselves a 10 for being really nice and legal on the battlefield.
You really are turning into a hasbara troll, I had no idea that you were so desperate that you'd post IDF statements as if they were facts.

Lets contrast the IDF with HRW, and then recall that similar charges are now in the hands of the ICC.

I don't like Hamas, don't like Abbas and really don't like the Netanyahu government. All the Palestinians and Jewish people I meet in my circle are great, just as I don't meet Trump supporters, white supremacists or fans of apartheid in my circle but know lots of very cool Americans.

But you are really getting sad with these claims.

I guess you didn't read it. The Panel was made up of top generals from United States, Germany, the United Kingdom, Holland, Spain, Italy, Australia and Colombia and concluded that Israel did far more to protect the civilian population than any army in modern history.

But of course you will latch on to anything to avoid criticizing Hamas etc for their terror attacks that spawned the conflict or their attacking from deep within the civilian population. You have even gone so far as to justify their hiding in the civilian population since they would lose if they followed the GC. I would love to see you suggest that instead of committing terror and terrorizing their own population, you expected Hamas to give up on their goal of destroying Israel and actually suggest a permanent peace.

I agree that most people (Israeli, Palestinians, etc.) are great but it is disgusting that you continually justify terrorism.

Now you take the word of the military on human rights issues?
You quoted HRW, that's the statement on Israel's human rights records, not a group of IDF and their military buddies.

That's really quite pathetic that your defence against war crimes, state terrorism and apartheid is backed up only by the 'findings' of the military reporting on itself.
Sad.
