Totally blew it. I'm expecting a 3-game sweep by the Royals.

Grilli is garbage. What happened to Gibbons only bringing him in for non-pressure situations?
And Osuna didnt pitch the day before, so he should have been well rested.
Unless Osuna is carrying a slight injury we dont know about, this is another gigantic fuck up by Gibby :frusty:

EDIT: Gibby claimed after the game Osuna wasnt feeling well. But Osuna declined to talk to the media, so this smells like bullshit

He would look good in our outfield now
And utterly clueless at the plate.

Not sure you're even aware btw, but Gose has been converted to a pitcher in the minors.
His fastball is in mid-90's range: http://www.detroitnews.com/story/sp...-quietly-pitches-big-league-return/103088640/

I was truly excited when he was breaking in with the team. At this point I wouldn't take him for Drew Storen's unwashed jockstrap.

And Parmley looks like he has some real speed.

I don't see a conspiracy theory here. He must have simply been unavailable. He is Gibbons' only reliable guy for the 9th (last night was proof of that) and he goes to him every single time except when unavailable.

Ugh what a loss. Lately it seems the only reason to watch Jays games is for the erection I get when Hazel is on the screen. She's put on a couple of pounds, and is really rocking the "curvy Filipina milf" look.

those of us who do not think Mr. Gibbons is a good manager have been silent for a while.........you sit your hottest hitter Smoak in a game you don't plan to use your best pitcher Osuna?......gawd I hope there is a true explanation for not using Osuna and that he is available today......that magical 81 wins for the season seeming more remote....

gawd I hope there is a true explanation for not using Osuna and that he is available today..........

From Sportsnet's Arden Zwelling, this morning, after speaking with Roberto Osuna:

Osuna:
"I'm dealing with mental illness.I've felt anxious & lost for a few days.
I'm not myself right now.
I don't know how to explain it. I'm just a little bit lost right now."

Osuna says he's never experienced this before.

Pretty good explanation if you ask me. Hopefully this quiets all the conspiracy theorists.
Indeed. And took some courage for him to be so forthright. Not everyone understands the possible severities of mental health issues.

Blue Jays Twitter was a madhouse (pardon the pun) last night, alit with possible reasons, ranging from he was late for curfew night before, to showed up hungover, to he'd had a blowup with a teammate, and others.

I went through a period of anxiety myself, so I know what it feels like.

For me going on 6 months of Lorazepam did the trick.
Valium did nothing btw

The neurologist who cured me told me it has nothing to do with mental illness.
Anxiety for most people is a CNS (central nervous system) problem

T'was young Mr. Osuna (to clarify) who said it was a mental illness, not I.

I think thats a mistake a lot of people make. Your CNS runs from your spine up to your neck, and then into your brain.
So when you think something is all in your head, its actually your CNS inside your brain thats overreacting.

See pic: https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipe...205_Somatic_Autonomic_Enteric_StructuresN.jpg

Diseases like Schizophrenia, Aspergers.....etc. Those are more mental illness

Not so. It was Arden Zwelling. Read his Tweets...

Perry
My original post on this subject was taken from Arden Zwelling's tweets, he reported inacurately....

I did, and indeed, from Arden Zwelling:

"Need to clarify something from earlier: Osuna did not say the words "mental illness" and has not been diagnosed with one."

Back in the old days we called it a "panic attack"
Right. But now picture having 20 panic attacks a day, for a whole week.
Then you'll understand anxiety.

Its treatable though. Osuna is young and I think he'll be OK (eventually)
