I agree about the group they have. If they can keep most of this young group together, they will grow into a pretty darn good team. With an acquisition for the back end, they should be able to make more noise in a few years.

Surely the Leafs will have a better chance advancing against the Sens, but against the Caps may give the team management a better chance to evaluate what they really need to be a real contender. Even if they get swept it'll be a valuable lesson for the young Leafs.
The Leaf brass are a smart bunch, but we've seen examples of other managements' mistakes because of unexpected success in their first seasons at the reign. The Leafs have big holes to fill on defence and it'll take great goaltending of Price like to have a chance even against the Sens.

Washington will be a good test for the Leafs and hopefully good lessons learned. Leafs or on track as long as they stick to the plan and MLSE owners don't mettle with the Shanaplan.

Kyle, James or whoever you think you may be at this moment: Most Leaf fans did not expect the team to make the playoffs this year! The fact they did makes us very happy. If they don't win a playoff game this year very few, if any, will be disappointed. This team has a very bright future! This is a young team with a bunch of well coached team players, assembled by an intelligent and proven hockey management team. This team will develop and improve and is about to become one of the best teams in the league. Now dolts, like you, may not agree with this and that is fine. However, if you are able to decipher this post and wish to comment on it, please get your mommy to help you, and that way we may actually see something intelligent posted under your handle!
Leafs has reached the highest acceptations so far as a fan would ever asked for. I am very happy about the result so far. From now on, I hope the young leafs should just enjoy every signal games into the playoffs and see what happens. Let the real talents and imaginations speaks out it's own. I really don't mind the leafs lost last nights game vs blue jackets cause I think it might be better position for the Leafs into this unexpected play off season.

Rookies don't belong in the Playoffs, Washington Capitals has lot of playoff experiences and it a elite team.
Never count out a team coached by Mike Babcock. As Catherine pointed out, the pressures is on Washington. No doubt the Leafs wil have their hands full, but they've already surpassed what many experts said they would accomplish this year. Oh and... rookies this talented do deserve to be there! Go Leafs!

Seriously dude, you have a problem, a real psychological problem with the amount of hate you have for the Leafs.
A normal person would not spend as much time as you have posting hatred on a hockey team. I don't know what has the Leafs organization or any of its personnel done to you or your family member. Any chance you are related to Gordon Stuckless so you hate the Leafs so much ?
For whatever reasons, get over it quick for your own good sake or I don't want to read in the paper that some lad just jumps off the bridge because the Leafs are winning.

You are 100% correct. The regular season is nothing like playoff hockey. The Capitals were two time Presidents Cup winners and have no Stanley Cup's in their first 43 years. Third time a charm? Maybe but they are a team who have not been able to get "over the hump" recently. Goes to show that rookies or not, they have not mastered what playoff hockey is all about either.

So it means you want to congratulate the Leafs by buying them all beer. Which is very gracious of you.
