I wonder what the % chance to win the Leafs had, up 3 goals in the 3rd period, game 7 against Boston.
There's a site that does game win probabilities, live I believe. Not sure if it was around for the "It was 4-1" Game.

Well the Leafs just didn't have it against the Caps but against the best team in the conference on the second leg of a back to back with a backup goalie, the result should not be surprising to anyone.

Hope the day's rest will give them enough energy to play a good game against Tampa. Two points will lock up a playoff spot and give them a big edge for 2nd or 3rd in the division to avoid playing the Caps in the first round.

Boston's two remaining games are Ottawa and Washington. If the Leafs can get four points out of the last 3 games, they should finish ahead of either Boston or Ottawa.

Please tell me the NYI aren't gonna win 3 in a row. If the Leafs lose in regulation to TB and the NYI win. I'm gonna have a sickening feeling.

Some of the youngsters were gripping their sticks a little tight last night. I will point Marner out here as one, who looked lost at times. The games right now are like playoff games and the physical play has ramped up, the players either respond in kind or disappear like Casper. A few of the Leafs pulled a Casper.

Going to be interesting for the last few games. Leafs might catch a break if Pens and Jackets decide to rest some key players, neither team has anything to lose by giving some guys a game or two off.

The stupid TSN media people were so bias and cocky , there were saying the Leafs will make the playoffs last weekend. The lady named Andi Petrillo from TSN is so annoying.
The Leafs last two games are very tough teams . The New York Islanders and Tampa Bay Lighting have a easy schedule .
The Leafs season is over basically. This Leafs Young team will not survived in the playoffs. There will likely get swept in first round by the Caps lol.
I want Columbus Blue Jackets or the Pittsburgh Penguins to win the cup this year.

Got the vomit bags ready. :grey:
Just think that the Leafs have already achieved success both as a team and as individual players any fan could have reasonably expected, you'll probably find it less nerve wrecking to watch this run.

I'm pretty confident they'll make it at least as a wildcard, but if they don't, I hope that'll force management to look real hard into upgrading the defence in the off season. Goaltending and Babcock's coaching have managed to mask a lot of the defence's deficiencies and making the playoffs may give the false sense that the defence is not too bad.

Wouldn't be against the integrity of the game not to ice your best players?
No, not really. Last night the Blackhawks rested Toews, Hossa, Anisimov, Keith, Seabrook and Hjalmarsson. All pretty damn good players and the Ducks won 4-0.

I think there is a clause that says that they have to ice a certain percentage of their signed players in every game. So that the paying patrons see a real team and not a farm team.
Maybe you're referring to the 23-man roster, since players on the AHL team are all 'signed'. I've never heard of such a clause, personally.

I believe (not 100% sure) that refers to exhibition games.
A team must dress "x number" of veterans per game.

On edit....Rule 15-4 (c)

Fifteen teams will not survived (sic) in the playoffs.
