Straight people fuck in parks all the time, why do they only enforce it when gays start doing it?
When they do it so blatantly and regularly that it causes the community to complain.

Face it. The Gay community also has within it a hook up culture unrivaled by the straight community. There just aren't that many hetero women who will hang out in a park and have anonymous sex with strangers. But there are enough gay men who will for it to become a problem.

It's a stupid argument. Thee just aren't that many instances of hetero public sex that they would get busted. It's a numbers issue. Not a sexual orientation one.

Here is one opinion of how the LGBT community characterizes the operation:

http://www.blogto.com/city/2016/11/toronto_is_enraged_after_police_sting_in_local_park/

so there you have it. The gays are pissed at the cops. So anything you or I say is kinda irrelevant.
Did you read the number arrested....72. Let me repeat that.....72.

When the hell was the last time 36 single hetero females got together in an anonymous public park to have sex with 36 man?

Closest I can think of is a night at a swingers club.

And that's the point. It s a PRIVATE setting. Adults only. And all witnessing consenting to watching. That doesn't happen in a public park.

what the fuck are you talking about? straight people get charged and arrested for public indecency, same as anyone.
Was thinking the same thing. If you go down to the lake shore parks at night it does not take long before the cops have you blocked in and are knocking on your window with their flashlight.

The guys were getting carried away at Marie Curtis Park. Last time i walked along the path in that park guys were coming out of the bushes to approach me, it was far too obvious, no discretion.

The park bust is the same as the large massage parlor, strip club, and incall busts in the past. When the girls start coming out onto the sidewalk to waive you into the massage parlor, you know a bust is happening soon.

I don't agree and I don't disagree with you.

I would say, "it depends"

See, I get that a lot of guys go cruising in public places for gay sex. That's not a big secret.

The question for me comes down to the circumstances. Specifically, was the guy entrapped by the police? I.e. were the cops behaving in such a manner as to entice a response? Did the cops give the guys cruising some sort of come-on signal that lead the cruising guy to think that there was an invitation to sex? Did the cops trapse off into the forested part of the park, or in the parking lot and behave in such a manner as to entice the cruisers into thinking that they were going to get sex? If so, that's altogether wrong.

But I agree with you, if a couple of gay guys were sucking each other off on a bench in plain view of everyone, than they've crossed a line and deserved to get busted.

But 2 guys sucking each other off in a car, or in the middle of the forest, well, there is an expectation of privacy there.

See, in my youth, I used to engage in sexual activity many many times in semi public places.

Place I recall:

Sand dunes off of a public beach on Lake Erie.
Beside the railway tracks
Various semi secluded parking lots
The parking lot at Tim Hortons (in broad daylight)
Gage Park in Hamilton (got nabbed, but not arrested by an asshole cop there).
Bruce Trail
McMaster University
U of T

More places than I can recall. I always tried to be careful, but got "caught" a couple of times. But never busted.
But because it was hetero sex was it ok?
Heteros do it too.

The one big difference is that hetero women don't need to cruise for it like gay men, or hard up men who will take any port in storm.

I think all the people that criticize this kinda miss the plot on this one. The purpose of the parade is to highlight the oppression gays faced by society. Other anti-oppression movements have joined. The police have historically been a major source of societal oppression. From bathhouse raids, G20, recent sting operations at Marie Curtis Park, poor Sammy Yatim and a story where cops threaten some guy taking a video of an arrest. I say they have learned very little and continue to act like dickheads and lie to protect each others crimes. Its good to see a major event telling them they are not welcome, and they better shape up.
Sammy Yatim was Gay? No matter what cops do, you'll never be happy. You're a cop hater and will always be one.
This is an old story with nottboi, he hates the cops (he used to call them pigs) he hates the Americans, he hates Israel/Jews (he started posting more threads than gryfin, he's obsessed) but he loves Putin big time and the Russians and Assad (his hero)

They're around Wellsley Church area, there used to be an old sauna at the bottom of Bathurst and King years ago.

I thought it was the bathhouse raids that started this whole Gay Pride thing. Don't understand why they feel the need to do it in public parks as well. Shoot, I don't even take photos anywhere remotely close to where there are kids, like public parks.

They're bathhouses have private rooms, massage, its like a spa with jacuzzi sauna etc. There was a problem also at High Park some years ago, guys were meeting and doing the same thing until people complained and cops busted some guys.

They do when the numbers are big enough to get complaints about it. The park in question was a regular trolling zone, not a one off encounter, and anyone having straight sex there would have been charged as well.

And everytime you went there it was with a girl already willing right? In other words you didn't go there to cruise. You went there specifically with a girl. Maybe not guaranteed but you didn't start alone.

And that's the problem.

I remember when yonge bloor washroom at the subway was a no go due to constant gay presence and pick ups, as well as actual sex. They also used mall stairwells in the area.

Now they have Grindr. A simple app to find fellow gay people. There is no need to cruise an area. And absolutely no need to hook up publicly.

I and I don't care about the sexual orientation. Don't do it in public. Period. If you do you are taking on the responsibility as an adult you might get caught and get charged. Do the crime and do the time. Too bad. So sad.

That's life. It's not a right.

Why on earth do you think it's only enforced against gays? Maybe because it becomes a bigger news story when gays are charged instead of straight people? Without stats you're unable to make a case.

Perhaps gay men partake in these activities at much higher rates than straight people because male sex drive is higher.

Follow the law, and you won't get charged.

Side note: ive been reading your posts for years. You are an irredeemable cop hater.

Women don't cruise for sex. Men do because our sex drive is orders of magnitude more than women's. Just look what website we are on.

As I said, my concern would be that of police entrapment. Simple as that.

It's true there were (and sometimes still are) conflicts between the LGBT community and the cops. Let's not forget there was a time, not so long ago, when the activity was illegal. It's precisely that evolution that we are trying to reinforce. The one where your sexuality is your business (as long as you don't do it in a public place). This is a step backward to my mind. BLM should get their own parade.

OK. And in the case of Marie Curtis 72 men were busted on one Friday.

Doesn't sound like they had to do much in the way of entrapment. It was Grindr live.

Black Lives Matter Toronto co-founder says white people are “recessive genetic defects”
http://www.torontosun.com/2017/02/1...founder-appears-to-label-white-people-defects

A co-founder of Black Lives Matter Toronto argued that white people are “recessive genetic defects” and purportedly mused about how the race could be “wiped out,” according to a post on what appears to be her Facebook page.

Yusra Khogali has faced increased scrutiny over the past year after BLM Toronto gained political influence following their disruption of the Toronto Pride parade and confrontations with Ontario Premier Kathleen Wynne.

On Friday, Toronto Police announced they would not participate in this year’s upcoming parade. This has been a longstanding demand of BLM TO and one that the board of Pride Toronto recently backed in a controversial vote.

Khogali has a track record of inflammatory, divisive rhetoric.

Only last week during a protest in front of the US consulate Khogali shouted into a microphone that “Justin Trudeau is a white supremacist terrorist” and urged the crowd to “rise up and fight back.”

“Look at us, we have the numbers,” she said.
