Did you read the number arrested....72. Let me repeat that.....72.
When the hell was the last time 36 single hetero females got together in an anonymous public park to have sex with 36 man?
Closest I can think of is a night at a swingers club.
And that's the point. It s a PRIVATE setting. Adults only. And all witnessing consenting to watching. That doesn't happen in a public park.
I don't agree and I don't disagree with you.
I would say, "it depends"
See, I get that a lot of guys go cruising in public places for gay sex. That's not a big secret.
The question for me comes down to the circumstances. Specifically, was the guy entrapped by the police? I.e. were the cops behaving in such a manner as to entice a response? Did the cops give the guys cruising some sort of come-on signal that lead the cruising guy to think that there was an invitation to sex? Did the cops trapse off into the forested part of the park, or in the parking lot and behave in such a manner as to entice the cruisers into thinking that they were going to get sex? If so, that's altogether wrong.
But I agree with you, if a couple of gay guys were sucking each other off on a bench in plain view of everyone, than they've crossed a line and deserved to get busted.
But 2 guys sucking each other off in a car, or in the middle of the forest, well, there is an expectation of privacy there.
See, in my youth, I used to engage in sexual activity many many times in semi public places.
Place I recall:
Sand dunes off of a public beach on Lake Erie.
Beside the railway tracks
Various semi secluded parking lots
The parking lot at Tim Hortons (in broad daylight)
Gage Park in Hamilton (got nabbed, but not arrested by an asshole cop there).
Bruce Trail
McMaster University
U of T
More places than I can recall. I always tried to be careful, but got "caught" a couple of times. But never busted.
But because it was hetero sex was it ok?
Heteros do it too.
The one big difference is that hetero women don't need to cruise for it like gay men, or hard up men who will take any port in storm.
