Very unfortunate.
Anti-Black racism is unfortunate.

An event that molds to the idea "Its open to everyone", has just drawn a limitation.

BLM could have a legit beef with some Police, I understand that.
But its not fair to paint the entire force with the same ugly brush. That's nothing but simple hate for all.
Good cops become guilty because of the "blue shield". Any participant in a cover-up, a lie, or something injurious to an innocent person becomes guilty by association. The S.I.U. will have an easier time charging and convicting rouge cops if they had the cooperation of good cops.

Kathleen said:
This is no victory, its madness and only getting worse.
You are right. Until the unjust killing of innocent civilians by rogue law enforcement stops and everyone is given due process rights under the charter of rights and freedoms, including the right to life, and black people are treated equally under the law, there is no real victory.

anyways i think this is just a case of people hating on pride because the decision came from blm.

it is funny that guys on a sex work forum have a problem with well known sex spots.

how many people are in the park during the day? kids are in school and adults at work. so how big of a nuisance was it?
Parents with toddlers? Old folks? People on a day off? Night shift workers? People who work from home? I kind of figure they have the right to enjoy the park. Meanwhile there is no right to have public sex.

I'd have a problem if it came from Pride. You don't encourage broader change by being exclusionary.

Discretion is the key word. If you are doing something outside of the law, it's not a good idea to do it in public.

not necessarily..... a basic form of disciplining children is exclusion..... if you cant play nicely you must sit in time out and for some kids it works

On the Friday of the bust 72 men were charged. In one day. So I would say nuisance is a mild word.

Trust me, every (straight) cop I ever talked to hates marching in that stupid parade.
When they are laughing or smiling on their parade float, they are mostly faking it

Rob "Best Mayor Ever" Ford never attended that parade and his absence was duly noted and reported to the politically correct liberals.

you mean it is not voluntary? also are you saying cops are homophobes?

do you think it is stupid or do they? how many cops did you poll?

if what you say is true then the cops definitly should not be there and need to do some soul searching. sorry but as law enforcers you need to put aside your bias. what you do in your bedroom with a consenting adult is your business.

but in fairness as the mayor of the city you should show up at major events...... it is high profile and brings in a lot of money. just like he should show up for caribana, tiff, chinese new yeat etc

were the busts in day or night? as a person who walks my dog at night parks are dead at night aside from kidd getting high.
Spread out I believe. And Marie Curtis is a busy park. Still one day. 72. You have to admit that's a lot.

And as someone said. There is an app called Grindr. It is the gay hookup app. And every gay person in toronto is on it. So the ONLY reason for cruising in a public park is because they get off having sex in public that way.

And there is nothing in the constitution that says we have to accommodate a person's sexual fetishes as relates to public spaces. But hey if it's so important take it to the Supreme Court.

In the mean time part of the thrill is the possibility of being caught. It's why they do it. So they all had a extra thrilling day.

Think it was an orgy. Like i posted, if you walked through the park, guys would be coming out from behind bushes to let you know they were interested. This park has a large wooded area.

The guys were ticketed, not charged criminally.

Panic in Marie Curtis Park

"Police say Project Marie has so far resulted in a total of 89 citations, most of them bylaw infractions, including 71 for indecent exposure and engaging in sexual activity, against 76 men and two women. "
