McDavid and Matthews are reminiscent of an earlier era.
McDavid is very physical, he has an explosive first step and knows how to exploit what opposing defenses give him. He's like Mario Lemieux. Matthews has a keen sense of anticipation and his stick handling in unreal. He's like Wayne Gretzky.

As the Leafs keep tanking, Matthews Keeps rolling, now leads the NHL in points with 10, 6 goals and 4 assists. And how about Nylander? 4 goals and 5 assists = 9 pts.
hit the cross bar a few days ago, than kadri or someone scooped up the rebound and finished it. Slumps sometimes appear worse than what they are.

McDavid in a slump too hasnt scored in 8 games .... Matthews / McDavid are both going to hit rookie walls.....

He's on pace for 65 points. As the schedule gets harder that pace goes down. As I said- Lucky to get 60 points.
Except McDavid is not a rookie. Yes Matthews is getting chances. Nylander broke his slump tonight against a flat PK Subban and the Preds.
