Paul Ryan's comments

The people of the United States, which includes me have two shitty choices. This is the problem with the two party system. Yo could be stuck with a habitual liar or a sociopath, like we are here, ill let you decide which is which. This will never change, the people are blind. With all due respect. If Trump is dropped which is highly highly doubtful youll het Paul Ryan, who is recently said this.

"I am sickened by what I heard today," Ryan said in a statement. "Women are to be championed and revered, not objectified. I hope Mr. Trump treats this situation with the seriousness it deserves and works to demonstrate to the country that he has greater respect for women than this clip suggests.”

Which to me is not a great statement either, its better than Trump's leaked comments by far but its a whole kind of different suck. Im absolutely believ in equality for women, equal pay and benefits, however to "be championed and revered" is a absolute joke. No single individual should be revered or championed because of their gender (along with race and sexual preference). This is the definition of the dreaded white knight. The puitan philosophy that another terbie brought up. If i was a women Id be offended, I could read into it that women are to be treated better because of supppsed gender traits (like precieved weakness in comparison to men"

Thats just my 2 cents.

Trump is in damage control mode by saying he's sorry. I don't know why? He's not going to be President anyways.

Trump is in damage control mode by saying he's sorry. I don't know why? He's not going to be President anyways.
He says he's sorry "if" he offended anyone. Congressman Chaffetz, R Utah, says Trump is only "sorry that he got caught".

Mitt Romney's assessment: “Hitting on married women? Condoning assault? Such vile degradations demean our wives and daughters and corrupt America’s face to the world.”

And the full GOP role call:

Republican National Committee chairman Reince Priebus: "No woman should ever be described in these terms or talked about in this manner. Ever."

House Speaker Paul Ryan, R-Wis.: "I am sickened by what I heard today. Women are to be championed and revered, not objectified. I hope Mr. Trump treats this situation with the seriousness it deserves and works to demonstrate to the country that he has greater respect for women than this clip suggests."

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky.: "These comments are repugnant, and unacceptable in any circumstance. As the father of three daughters, I strongly believe that Trump needs to apologize directly to women and girls everywhere, and take full responsibility for the utter lack of respect for women shown in his comments on that tape."

Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz.: "There are no excuses for Donald Trump’s offensive and demeaning comments. No woman should ever be victimized by this kind of inappropriate behavior. He alone bears the burden of his conduct and alone should suffer the consequences."

Sen. Mark Kirk, R-Ill.: ".@realDonaldTrump should drop out. @GOP should engage rules for emergency replacement."

Gov. Gary Herbert: "Donald Trump's statements are beyond offensive & despicable. While I cannot vote for Hillary Clinton, I will not vote for Trump."

Jeb Bush : "As the grandfather of two precious girls, I find that no apology can excuse away Donald Trump's reprehensible comments degrading women."

Ted Cruz: "These comments are disturbing and inappropriate, there is simply no excuse for them. Every wife, mother, daughter -- every person -- deserves to be treated with dignity and respect."

Marco Rubio: "Donald's comments were vulgar, egregious & impossible to justify. No one should ever talk about any woman in those terms, even in private."

Sen. Jeff Flake, R-Ariz.: "America deserves far better than @realDonaldTrump."

Even FoxNews is running this story full bore on their site with a huge headline and seven substories.

Only Breitbart is trying to put a positive spin on it, repeating Trump's attacks on Clinton and ignoring the parade of denunciations from Republicans.

Dude. Cut the hysteria. The premise of the conversation is its good to be rich and famous because women throw it at you.

They were consenting to anything.

Beyond that this is locker room shit.
They were not in a locker room, so by definition this is not "locker room shit". This is "mic'ed up on the Access Hollywood bus, with other people around, being filmed, about to go into a television studio" shit. This is a known pattern of behaviour that demonstrates his character.

I've been in a lot of locker rooms and never heard this type of talk. In fact I've been to SP parties, talking to guys while scoping the room and talking about the ladies, and not heard this type of language or behaviour.

More accurate to say this is "boardroom shit" for Trump, so just imagine what he'd be saying and doing while sitting in the Oval Office.

TicTac Trump said:
We were in the boardroom one time figuring out who to blame for the task, and he just stopped in the middle and pointed to someone and said, 'You'd fuck her, wouldn't you? I'd fuck her. C'mon, wouldn't you?'"

The person continued: "Everyone is trying to make him stop talking, and the woman is shrinking in her seat."
This was not a locker room, but a boardroom.
The AP story is from witnesses, but also claims that there is video footage evidence NBC has, since he would make these inappropriate comments while the cameras were on.

And Trump isn't just running to be president - he's running on the Republican ticket. The so-called party of family values. If Trump was elected, the White House - the whole country - would be a 'hostile work environment'.

I think this is going to turn out to be a big nail in the coffin of "the Trump brand". Everyone joining a Trump golf course, everyone checking into a Trump hotel, everyone leasing space in a Trump building, is making a deliberate conscious choice to support him and his sexist, misogynistic behaviour.

Paul Ryan has publicly made it known that he does not want Trumpty Dumpty to appear at the show later today. Many Republicans are withdrawing their endorsement for Old Trumpty. However, all is well as the Trumpty lovers on this board are endorsing him.

Parsing Trump's apology:
TicTac Trump said:
"This was locker room banter, a private conversation that took place many years ago. Bill Clinton has said far worse to me on the golf course - not even close. I apologize if anyone was offended,"
"This was locker room banter": lie
"a private conversation": lie
"Bill Clinton has said far worse": deflection, and probably a lie.
"I apologize if anyone was offended": the classic statement of non-apology and denial of wrongdoing.

I'm as big a horndog as anyone on this board, but I have never spoken as crassly about women as Trump did, nor have I ever bragged about groping them.
I'm the same, but I would hate to have some of my conversations with the boys about women over the years recorded and played back out of context.

I've never groped any women either, or even kissed them in order to get my jollies, but I'm sure that if you spoke to some of the women that I have dated over the years, especially when I was in my 20's, they might say that I was not a wall flower and if I thought there was an opportunity, I would go for it. I've always respected that no means no, but there is a hard no and there is a "try harder" no. The trick is knowing the difference. There isn't a man alive who doesn't know this. I'd hate to be a young man nowadays. That kind of thing could get you arrested.

As far as Trump goes, I'm actually amazed women have not come forward to claim they had affairs with a married Donald Trump. Fucking amazed. They started coming out of the woodwork with Clinton and he won twice.

Tell that to Mónica Lewinsky
I would take a lot of convincing to accept that Monica wasn't flattered by Bill's attentions and very willing to please.

So flattered she saved the cum smeared blue dress (to sleep with it cradled in her arms alone in her bed at night I'm sure.)

Trump is taking his ques from Silvio Berlusconi, it remains to be seen if Americans share the same mindset as Italians.

And he'll probably end up like Lord Bunga Bunga. Silvio has been put out to pasture, he's been deposed by his party and his children have taken over his holding company.
We both know that they don't. There's no "remains to be seen" about it. The red states are obsessed by Jesus and fundamentalist Christianity and shit like girls keeping their virginity until marriage. I am surprised that they don't stone adulterers to death in Indiana and Mississipi. Hell, maybe they still do and Fox News doesn't report it!

When I went to visit a branch of the Oagre extended family which dwelt briefly and very unhappily in the South, everyone in town went to church on Sunday. You were ostracized if you didn't go. And even the guys talked about how awful it was that Bill got blown by Monica and how he deserved to get kicked out of the White House. (This was between telling me that evolution never happened and that the US should have nuked Hanoi to "win" the Viet Nam War, btw. Nice people in South Carolina. The Oagres fled back north after a year.)

Old Trumpty has the support of 76% of the white male supporters without university degrees. That is the only base that is likely to be faithful to him. Even the right wing Evangelicals and the white males with university degrees are not likely to be that faithful, in light of this shocking video depicting women as just sex objects for "celebrities" like him.

The gangs of refugees in Europe who have molested the women in Europe and the media coverage of it that followed that ostracised all the refugees impacted this board with the number of posts condemning all the refugees. Old Trumpty has the same line of thought as those gang members except that he knows that he can get away with it as he is a "celebrity".
