Where can I get the best hamburger in the gta?

If you go to Five Guys you can extra bacon and cheese free of charge.
As someone else mentions go online to see their "secret" menu. I recommend the Pope Burger.
Had Holy Chuck once. I don't remember what I didn't like about it but didn't think the price was worth it.
Johnny's burger is over rated and nothing special to me. Five Guy's was so so. Lick's was good but gone. I like Yummy's burger at Yonge & Wellesley. Big thick meaty and juicy. The best one for me is Main Street burger in Stouffville main street besides the car wash. They grill right in front of you. It's thick big, juicy and meaty. No wonder they are so busy all the time. The Fish & Chip nearby besides M&M is one of the best but a bit pricey.

Utopia on College St has some good stuff. Strangely was introduced to the place by a vegetarian. Big Smoke is solid. Was better when they were just one location (pre-name change)
More old school, I get a hankering for Apache now and then. There are also a bunch of little local shops that do their own patties that can be pretty good if you can find out about them. I've had 3 near me close down over the years - too much competition.
From the list P&L is pretty good - deliver on foodora too. I was never impressed by the Priest.

I see Burger Priests "secret menu" is basically whatever your imagination can come up with so long as they have the ingredients to make it.

I used to love Steer Inn in Richmond Hill, but hey are closed now. Golden Star in Thornhill is pretty good!!
I tried Johnny's once and just was not impressed. Average t best. If you like the Priest, you might want to try the place across the street from the Yonge & Lawrence location. It's called McCoy's, and I've enjoyed them a few times. It not likely that everyone will rush to say it's the best place in town, but you should enjoy it. They had an opening special @ $5.00 to bring people in, and it was great value...

Steer in was okay at best, but the guys that worked there always weirded me out, and gold star is disgusting.
The best burgers you can have you have to make at home. I have been using the Sous Vide method of cooking for the last year and have made the best burgers with perfect searing or charcoal grilling.
When you do not have the time you can make crappy fast food burgers into OK burgers. Many fast food places serve tepid burgers, the the first thing to do is warm them up. Get them home or to the office and give them a 30 second zap in the microwave then wrap them in foil for 30 minutes in the convection oven. You can dress them up in a slice of ripe tomato, coleslaw or sour kraut. I put horse radish/dijon mustard on my burgers.

We are very aware that good burgers can be made at home...but go post that in the cooking thread. This guy is asking where he can go to buy the best burger. If he wanted to know how to make a good burger, the thread would have been called "need advice on making burgers from scratch".
was just talking about this with a friend last night, Johnnys has a lineup every night for 30 years and their burgers are average at best....for some reason people love this place...these guys rake in the cash
I never understood the attraction to the old Steer Burger. I went there once as I knew it had a decades old reputation for it's fan base. Unfortunately, I felt like I had just eaten a pound of tasteless cardboard and my gut felt like a lead weight. It made Johnny's look like gourmet food! I never went back to either one...
A family of angry, surly Greek brothers serving up burgers...what's not to love.
The place is open very late when others are closed and most people are asleep. They have a long time niche market .
