Well said, couldn't agree more. What's the point of a sports forum if you're not going to express some opinions and banter about bad/questionable calls by the manager.
BTW, without getting into a tit-for-tat, those of us critical of Gibbons NEVER claim to be better than him; that's just retarded.
We just note that there are better managers out there than Gibbons.

Some of the greatest commentators in all sports are arm chair managers, that is part of the joy of watching sports! Everyone from a Don Cherry or a Greg Zaun to a Jim Hughson/Buck Martinez always voice their opinion on all sorts of different game situations - Some situations are big, and others are minor, but they all do it.
Go to any pub where a group of fans are watching game, hang out with some buddies while watching a game or even sit with your spouse watching a game and the inner arm chair manager will come through - That is part of the joy of watching sports. It can be as simple as a decision to go to the bullpen, pinch hitting, changing a goalie, switching lines, passing vs. running for a TD, etc. Without that interaction or freedom of making your call, sports would not be sports and a big part of the thrill is lost.
There is a lot of emotion in sports - All sports from our early years as a player up to your senior years as a fan. Second guessing is simply part of the game. Anyone who has not second guessed a decision of a coach/manager in their lifetime of watching sports is an extreme rarity.
As sports fans you will not always agree with the viewpoint of another sports fan...That is yet another joy of watching sports.
Funny thing is, on TERB there are times I agree and disagree with every person on here. There is no consistency as there are too many variables, personal biases and other factors that come into play with the comments that are posted.
For me, I read, I learn, I agree, I disagree, I laugh and I voice my opinion. I don't go out of my way to say "fuck you", however I enjoy the opinions on this forum as it is a small diverse and passionate community.

It's the idiots who rage in because they disagree or have a different opinion that spoil the fun... and those absolutely convinced that there are always 2 ways of looking at anything: their way and the wrong way!

In Mets news, Syndergaard pulled out of 2nd game with arm fatigue. 43 yo Colon is going to the ASG!
Matt Harvey is out for the season. Wheeler still not back from TJ sugery. Mets had the best and deepest ML rotation on paper, now are looking to trade for starters.

I dont know where they would put him anyways. If you make him your 5th starter you gotta get rid of Dickey somehow.Stay away from Gray. He's like Stroman. Small guy who is good but will never be great. And he'll cost you what's left of an already thin farm system

After pulling off the blockbuster Josh Donaldson trade in the 2014 off-season, Oakland may also be wary of partnering with Toronto in another major deal. Additionally, the Blue Jays may not want to empty their prospect cabinet after trading away 11 pitching prospects this time last year.
Gray is having a disappointing first half of the 2016 campaign, but the former first-round pick finished third in American League Cy Young voting last season. If a team is able to pry him out of the Bay Area at the end of the month, they would acquire a front-line starter with sky-high potential.
Man, this sucks. Encarnacion is called out on a pitch 6 inches off the plate by a crazy umpire. Then the same crazy umpire throws him out of the game. Now he has to sit out one game as further punishment. The players need a stronger union to to umpire abuse.

Tripled it actually. He was at 1HR and 1RBI.Wait. Thole hit a 2 out 2 run hit! Doubles his RBI production with one swing
I realize Thole was brought on to handle Dickey's knucklers, but his offensive production really needs improving

great game Thole (2 hits, no passed balls)...fortunate we didnt miss Edwin.....I googled that umpire and he has plenty of negative reviews, it wasn't just a bad game. I did notice he isn't on the same crew...maybe the crew chief wanted to get rid of him after seeing first hand his incompetence.

MLB should do to umpires what my boss does to our sales staff. The worse performer gets fired. It's call "culling the herd"...I googled that umpire and he has plenty of negative reviews, it wasn't just a bad game.
Fans pay good money to see Encarnacion not a crazy umpire.
