Only if you don't understand how to interpret statistics.
I can do the math:

The odds that any given black man will shoot and kill a police officer in any given year is slim to none, about one in a million. The odds for any given white man? One in four million,” he said.

It's pretty clear: one in a million versus one in four million.

So a black man is on average four times more likely to kill a cop.

Yup. So I'll let you try to figure out how that can be right while your original claim is still wrong.

I think we need to know the full circumstances of the shooting before we rush to judge. Apparently the driver told the cop he was armed. Why he volunteered that information is somewhat confusing to me. It doesn't look good for the cop but I'd like to hear his side of the story. His career is over either way. And the Castile family have to bury a loved one. Tragic.

He told him because he was a legally registered gun owner and it was in his best interest(or so he thought) to disclose this so the officer wouldn't be surprised and panic. Unfortunately he ran into an idiot who did panic at the mere mention of it.

Would he have done it if the driver was white? I doubt it. And four shots?

I wonder where the hell the NRA is. Wasn't this also an infringement on a legal gun owner's right to bear arms? Or does that also only apply to white people.

I'm normally a big cop defender and will continue to do so. But this one? This one is plain fucked up.

Surprised the nra is so quiet on this case.

Race plays a role for sure. Even if it is just some thoughts to make the cop more jumpy.

Training was a factor too.

On the topic of race and crime i think it can be a bit short sighted view.

I think poverty, poor education, substance abuse and mental health, social standing in community are stronger predictors than race.

You're going by what the guy's girlfriend stated. Just like Ferguson you can't rely on witness testimony based on emotion. Wait for the facts.
I've read that the deceased had numerous traffic violations on his record, as well as 2 misdemeanor charges for marijuana possession. Apparently he was also a SJW. This leads me to believe he didn't have the utmost of respect for authority, particularly police officers.
I'm not accusing him of provoking the officer but it's a definite possibility. We'll see.

Maybe the GF was in shock, but her reaction was just so weird. She was just so calm.

My original claim is correct. A black man is on average four times more likely to kill a cop.
In the U.S., in the south and in large Urban areas, Blacks were targets of lynchings and shootings, sometimes even perpetrated by cops, long before any Black man decided to pick up a gun and kill a cop/White person.

Torment, Torture and kill a group of people long enough, and they might just fight back. For every action there is a reaction. You should know this!!! And no, in no way shape or form am I condoning the shooting of a cop.
