Exactly. They are over armed(especially since 9/11) and receive bad training. Add in the local depts some hiring is done by elected sheriffs there iare some real yahoo's running around.
How the hell does an man without a weapon in hand, who is complying with all police directives, and there is a woman and 4 year old in the car, get shot 4 times?
Answer: gross negligence at the least.
I'm not moving with a cop with a gun in hand pointing through the window. Especially a trigger happy one and my 4 year old daughter in the car. That she didn't panic is a miracle. And quite frankly that she is alive even.

No, it's common sense. Basic logic - not paranoid fuelled irrelevant garbage thrown to muddle the basic truth that cops are less likely get shot by blacks. What percentage of their own demographic this represents doesn't change the fact that cops are less likely to get shot by a black man.
Washington Times article in Post #21 gives the odds. To me the odds seem too high regardless.

True but sadly, the cop demanded she keep her hands on the steering wheel, otherwise he would've put a few bullets in her too.
You'd be wasting your time. He was shot at point blank range 4 times. A handful of surgeons on an operating table with all the required equipment would have trouble keeping this guy alive.
Her decision was more rational and in the end may get her SO the justice that he wouldn't get without the video.
If she did attempt to help him, she'd risk getting shot, too. Look at how there are about 3 cops pointing guns at her telling her to walk backward and get on the ground. All that drama for a woman holding a phone.
Its so incredibly sad....

I'll take my odds with a white man.
Groups like BLM chanting "we want dead cops" does nothing to calm the waters.
The officer was too quick to react. They(Police) need better training in dealing with these situations. He could have called for backup. Assuming backup was there, direct the passenger to get out of the car and proceed from there. Seems like a rookie (lack experience). Haven't seen the proceeding minutes prior to the person being shot so can't really comment on anything else. Whether racial or not there has to be a better way in policing.
