The Chase Utley rule doesn't apply to Hanley Ramirez on his slide to 2B?
I really hate these National League pussies like Buster Posey and Utley who are responsible for these dumbass rules.

As for Sunday's game, Dickey again assumes his role as sacrificial lamb against the opponent's ace.

Bautista - when he's on, he's one of the best clutch hitters in baseball! 8-8!!
JB never ceases to amaze. Truly one of the great hitters of his era.

Gotta admit when they were down by 4, I didn't think they would come back given the feeble offence this year. But they kept the rally going and Martin and Travis both had timely hits. This feels more like last year.

As Gibby says: we're 4-0 with Travis.
Bring on Price!

For whatever reason whenever we play Boston expect some errors, weird plays, general wackiness. Lots of back and forth scoring. It's never boring with them. In either stadium.

Storen looked good tonight. He has too much talent. I think he will come around soon.

Good to see loup back. Add in Cecil and I think the division will be ours in the end.

BadKat I'll bring the Aveeno.

Storen needs time, he's never played in the American League.

I love Boom Bats but the question needs to be asked, was he juicing in 2010-11? Like Vernon Wells he had two injury shortened seasons after 2011, the difference being Wells never recovered.

Have a look:

Indeed I am shocked.. very nice to complete the comeback and get the win.
It's too bad we have a manager who is too laid back and doesn't know how to motivate this team.

What a crock of shit.

Interesting!
Apparently you missed the 9th inning yesterday to watch what I consider at least 2 key moves....the pinch runner move and the key steal to set up the run.
That's called managing or did you think the fans called it!!

I don't mind the new rule. I just wish the umps would enforce it on a consistent basis. Bautista has been called twice on this rule. How many times has Hanley Ramirez been called? Even the TV guys questioned Ramirez's slide into 2B in yesterday game where he spiked Travis.

7th year of juicing without getting caught in 100s of random tests. Still looks wirey strong not bulked up like Bonds and Sosa.

He is the greatest pupil of Cito Gastons "hands back" style of hitting. It's like the golf swing where you lag the hands and let the torque of the body and the big muscles in the legs, back and shoulders whip the bat through the hitting zone.

Edwing and Josh D also have adopted this style to great success. Griffey Jr is probably the best example of this. Even non-athletic John Olerud had this swing type tho less power but lots of line drive doubles.

I didn't say that Boom Bats has been juicing for 6 years, he may have been for 2010-11, he may have been adjusting without it in 2012-13.

O Ally Boy, the farts, the farts are calling you.

The Yankees are coming to town, we should all pitch in and get A-Roid a tranny.

I still think we need 2 relievers to make a run at world series.
A 7th inning and an 8th inning guy.

Wilner on AM590 said Jays farm system isnt as depleted as people might think after all the AA trades. So a trade or 2 could be made if Chavez/Floyd/Storen dont get their shit together (which so far they havent)

He was leading the league in HR's in both 2012 and 13 before he got injured. If you're somehow suggesting the injuries happened because he stopped juicing, well, there's all manners of unfounded allegations.

If Floyd/Storen had done their job we would have swept

If they had done their job since the season started, where would the Jays be in the standings?
I'm happy with Biagini though. He's been a nice surprise.
ERA of 0.90. He could turn into an important 8th inning guy perhaps.

Then all you need is a 7th inning reliever, and have Chavez and Floyd duel it out for middle-relief or mopup

How about making a starter out of Floyd (after all, at end of spring training he was battling with Sanchez for the 5th starter's role, it was close, but sanchez got the nod) and making Sanchez as the set up man ( this will help in nursing along his young and still very inexperienced arm) for Osuna and making Biagini the "Hold" reliever.

Biagini>>Sanchez>>Osuna
