Did the terrorists time this attack after the Canadian election? Frankly, I don't think anybody outside Canada has any respect for our new PM.
Let's face it, few outside of Canada knew there was an election.

TORONTO — The city is increasing its police presence after French police said at least 100 people were killed inside a concert hall in Paris where attackers had seized hostages Friday night.

Toronto police said they are providing additional officers in the downtown core Friday night in the wake of the Paris attacks.

Fear mongering. Shouldn't our police be busy arresting people who pay for consensual adult sex instead?

If this is ISIS and we don't know for sure at this moment (they could be Orangemen for all we know), then they have killed many citizens of Russia and France.

Jihadist supporters celebrate, speculate on Paris attacks online
12:45 a.m.
Twitter accounts linked to jihadists are celebrating the attacks in Paris.
According to the SITE Intelligence Group tracking militant sites, Twitter posts attributed to jihadist supporters are speculating which group may be responsible. Many users expressed belief that the Islamic Group could be behind the carnage.
They used Arabic-language hashtags that translated to "Paris on fire" and "Caliphate state strikes France."
SITE says that accounts also circulated pictures of the attacks, and one pro-IS channel accused France of sending warplanes to bomb Syria and says "today it drinks from the same cup."

@RT_com: DEVELOPING: #ISIS claims responsibility for #Paris attack http://on.rt.com/6wd7 http://twitter.com/fgerschel/status/665296969003368449/photo/1

According to numerous witnesses interviewed by French media, the attackers at Bataclan theater were saying their actions are retaliation for France's involvement in Syria.

Per AFP, French fighter jets have carried out 1,285 aerial missions, resulting in 271 strikes and the destruction of 459 targets in Iraq, since the start of the anti-ISIS campaign last year. Only two known strikes have been carried out in Syria, in late September.

Nevermind the immigration issue. 25,000 immigrants is a drop in the bucket compared to the number of refugees out there.

We are doomed over the next 4 years under Trudeau's leadership.

He's going to make Canada look like a bunch of wimps on the world stage by pulling back our armed forces to training, supervision and peacekeeping roles. After a while, they'll stop taking Canadians seriously because you can't provide up do date training or command organization without current operational experience. Help our allies prevent these attacks? France, Britain, Russia and the U.S. have huge worldwide intelligence networks. We have CSIS.

He's going do plunge us in to severe debt with all his planned capital projects spending and curtailing of major oil and natural gas revenue generating projects.

Legal marijuana, with no effective tools for the police to properly test for level of impairment or criminal law stating what level constitutes impairment to use in prosecution against someone who killed someone with a car is something you've voted in.

Repealing acts of Bill C-42 to eliminate administratively and costly burdens of tracking the transport of firearms by licensed firearm owners, who are the most law abiding citizens in Canada because the facts haven't sunk into him that 90% of firearms used in crimes come from the U.S.

I wouldn't be surprised if Trudeau was wiped out by the Conservatives in the next election.

Say what you want about Harper, but he was practical and let the world know Canada had some balls by sending our troops to fight.

Justin is useless and totally out of his depth! He said nothing when asked whether he would reconsider his plan to pull out of Syria. This is going to dominate the G20 conference. If Justin pulls out Canada will lose major credibility from our international allies. He better tread carefully and seriously reconsider his position.

Curfew in Paris for the first time since 1944.

5 terrorists "neutralized". Apparently, at least one or more escape in the chaos. Here's the problem, it is much more difficult to locate 1, 2 or 3 persons than it is to locate a 20,000 person army. If these gunmen are at large, they could strike again.

Witnesses who did see the attackers said they are very young, maybe late teens, early 20's. Same age group as the Mumbai attackers.

I would gladly swap 25,000 Syrians/Pakistanis/Afghans/Iraqis, etc. for 25,000 Filipinos.

According to Wiki country population rankings, Mid East countries total about 400 million people.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Middle_East_countries_by_population

The world has about 7 billion people, so the 400 million is about 6% of the population. The number of trouble makers among those 6% is a fraction of a %. F'ing amazing how such a tiny number of people in the world can consistently be such a pain in the ass when it comes to conflict, politics, terrorism etc....

On the other hand, East Asian countries total 4x the number at about 1.6 billion.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/East_Asia

Mathematically, you'd think people living in East Asian would cause quadruple the incidents all things being equal. If anything, despite 4x the number of people, the number times people from that region cause global issues is more like 1/4th or 1/40th the number.

And some people don't understand why there are things in the world called "stereotypes."

Islamic State terror group has reportedly claimed responsibility for the co-ordinated shootings and bombings across Paris.
Paris attacksAFP
ISIS supporters are gloating about the sickening attacks
At least 149 people are said to have been slaughtered in the French capital in a series of co-ordinated attacks last night.

A gunman reportedly shouted "it's for Syria" and "Allahu Akbar" – the Arabic for "God is great" – before slaughtering around 100 music fans at a concert hall.

The attacks came just hours after British ISIS butcher Jihadi John was said to have been killed by a US drone strike in Syria.

And several ISIS supporters celebrated the horror attacks attacks using the sick hashtag 'ParisIsBurning'.

One said: "God is great and thank God for these lone wolf attacks. At least 100 hostages and countless wounded."

His tweet was sent from the Kuwait port of Mina Abdulla, according to Twitter's location settings.

Another added: "Oh God, burn Paris as you burned the Muslims in Mali, Africa, Iraq, Syria, and Palestine."

Some fans even boasted London, Rome and Washington DC would hit by the next horror attacks.

Terrified football fans flood the pitch at the Stade de France
But some social media users used the hashtag to share their sympathy with those hurt and killed in the attacks.

Cameron Dylong said: "Prayers up to Paris right now."

And Armani Bradley wrote: "Disgusting how ISIS Twitter accounts are hashtagging 'Paris is burning'.

"Celebrating the deaths of innocent people, what a vile world we live in."

In January, ISIS praised two gunmen who killed 12 people at the Paris offices of the satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo.

The terror group called them "heroic jihadists", according to the Site Intelligence Group.

In June, a suspected Islamist decapitated a man in a gas factory in the south-eastern city of Lyon.

Two months later three tourists overpowered a heavily armed gunman linked to ISIS on a Paris-bound train.

If Vegas ever offered odds lines regarding who is responsible for terrorist attacks, the entire city would be bankrupt in a week if gamblers are allowed to choose people of Mid East descent/religion.
