Odd how a team's pitchers get better knowing grounders to shortstop are going to be well handled on a consistent basis.
Reyes had some huge errors this year. Nice guy but he must have cost us 3 or 4 games this year.

Gotta say not only has AA acquired talent, he got talent with character.

Donaldson, Martin, Tulo, Price, Hawkins...these guys are all gamers and consummate professionals. Just a rookie, but Osuna seems to be in that category as well. They play hard no matter the situation. And they play smart as well.

Are we now expecting David Price to win every game he starts? If so, he will wind up with 19 or 20 wins. Of course, when your team is averaging 5 runs a game with great defense and relief pitching, any starter worth his salt should win every game he starts.

The Blue Jays are making the other teams they play, look like the Leafs.
Polaris I could kiss you.

Presently I'm not that concerned with what Tulozzo does with the bat, he has worked miracles defensively.

I'm not a religious man but I understand the power of faith. Jesus is at Roberto Osuna's side, nothing fazes him.

Wankees, we don't watch no stinking Wankees!

Quite frankly I couldn't care less about the Yankees. I'll be watching my birth region attempt to progress to the Champions League: Lazio vs Leverkusen.

What do you think about JB stand up for his rookie teammate,Travis? I hope that JB continues to channel his displeasure with his employer through his bat and his glove on the field. Now,this story has gone public it could look bad on JB because Travis is actually making more than 500k as a rookie salary this season. Travis can afford to buy more than one suit! And, the way he has been playing before he get injured Rogers can raise his salary after his rookie contract expires anyway. It would be more than make up for the cost of the suit, imo.

The Jays are better off without Traviss for the rest of the year. Why mess up a good thing? Goings is a better fielder. They really need to leave Collabello at first. What they lose defensively, he more than makes up for with his bat.

Travis is making the major league minimum, from the way I read the story,
he was set up to buy the suit, either Gotstyle or Sportsnet should cover the cost.

For comparison's sake it worked the opposite way at SS. Lose offense from Reyes and pick up defense from Tulo. Improved defense is dwarfing the loss of offense.

OPS for EE and Colabello are fairly close with EE having established himself at a high level for a longer period of time. Right now Gibby is doing a pretty good job of working matchups to get EE, Colabello and Smoak in lineup regularly and has guys playing in situations where the stats indicate a positive matchup. For his shortcomings, I think he has been outstanding in the way he has handled this situation. Or perhaps he has been outsitting in the way he has handled this siutation

Especially considering Tulo's OPS at this point (despite not performing well offensively by his standards) is higher than Reyes, counting ONLY the Toronto statistics for each player.

Also better than Revere's BTW.

I may jump the gun a little bit here but Jays could be 2 gms up on the Yanks after today. Because Ellsbury is not in the Yankees lineup for this afternoon game. The goal is to be clear of second place by 4/5 games before both of these teams meet again in Sept.
Then again what do I know about baseball? LOL

Stros up by 5-0 as Pineda melts down in the 5th - as Yank pitching has been doing habitually of late.

Our boy Colby Rasmus strikes out w runners on 2nd and 3rd and gets booted for flipping off the ump.
