Sonny Grey tomorrow. Streak could end. Grey would be my pick for the AL Cy Young at this point in the season.
Its Sonny Gray. And you realize Jays have hit Gray very well over last 5 yrs dont you??

Bautista is hitting .500, Donaldson .667, Martin .500 and Pillar is hitting .333 against Gray. I say we have a decent shot of beating him if the bats can stay hot

I'm sure glad you're here to tell us who the real baseball fans are and who arent.
Where would Terb be without you??!

This is how I picture you, sitting by yourself at Blue Jay games: http://meetthematts.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/fat-man-258x300.jpg
When I think that you actually found it important enough to spend time to dig up a picture to try and insult me, especially because of a perceived weight issue I am even more impressed with you're intelliugence. Many people are judged by who their friends are. I also think that many are judged by who their friends ARE NOT. I am proud to admit that you don't like me.

Travis hit poorly at the top of the lineup because that coincided w his injury period. He has a high on base %. Colabello has a high average and is a precision line drive hitter, rather than a slugger and so is a good #2. Donalson is the prototypic #3 - power, high average, hits to all fields. Bautista has now become a low average, high power run producer. Batting EE 5th protects Bautista and Donaldson. Batting Tulo 6th takes the pressure off him.

You could swap Travis and Revere, if you wanted.

I understand your points and the "prototypical lineup" ideas, but I A) prefer to go with a known quantity and B) believe that the prototype of the lineup has changed. More at bats for the better hitters is considered more important by many including myself. You're also proposing ways to "fix" the offense that is by far the best in baseball. Perhaps they are actually doing it right instead of doing it wrong.

Dickey (W, 7-10) 6.0I 6H 3R 3ER 2BB 4K 1HR 95-62
Not stunning, but another quality start for the Blue Jays.
Dickey got it done!
Liked the bullpen again. Loup gave up a hit then got the side, haven't seen that from him for a while.

Of course, comparing this year to last year might give you a different Shade of Grey.

Jays Win 10 in a row! Yankees, Orioles and Angels lose again just like the other night.
T Bay surging and move in front of O's and only 1.5 back of NYY.

I don't want to meet T Bay in important games. The Trop is a bizarre twilight zone of horrors for the Jays.

Teams will put speedster at the top when there is a need to manufacture runs through SB and hit and run type baseball.

This line up has no issues getting runs with the talent of the top 6 so it actually makes sense to let the hit hitters get more at bats and to have the possibility of driving in the speedsters during later at bats.

In a way you are both correct but Buster has the edge due to the present line up.

Personally I think they should consider shutting down Travis and getting this shoulder thing really looked at. I like Goins on D and his bat has been productive. Better to have him and his body truly healthy for next year at this point.

It's amazing how many people here want to keep changing the team.

They won't be satisfied until we have a roster of 9 gold glovers all hitting over .300 and for power.

Once again, instead of trying to be a GM, which no one here knows even 1% what's required, just sit back and be an ordinary fan. It's way more fun and you don't make yourself look ridiculous.

I should go back looking for all the posts of these TERB GM's saying the season's over, no way can they win, trade for the future....blah, blah, blah.

Can't disagree with the sentiment Eddie.

The mightiest of all baseball players is proving to be something of a rally killer. This just in the next President of the Toronto Blue Jays is Richard Peddie...running and ducking incoming chimichanga bombs.

For those of you that understand Italian. Here's a classic comedy featuring two of Europe's most beloved comic-actors: Ugo Tognazzi (La Cage aux Folles) and Phillipe Noiret (Cinema Paradiso). Which one could pass for my esteemed friend scouser1?

For the first time on mlb.com, the Jays are listed at the top of the AL East in August....

Grey scratched from start due to back spasms. Chavez to start instead. Everything is going the Blue Jays way.

Yeah but looks who's pitching for the Jays and not TB anymore.

Jesse Chavez is no slouch, he's learned how to pitch since leaving the Jays.

With Tulo, EE, and Martin on the Bench for this game, Gibbons will have 3 deadly pinch hitters if it's close late into the game.
