He said Mexicans not Hispanics. Just the same as someone in Canada complaining that there are too many Americans coming into Canada.
Not the same at all. He didn't complain about too many Mexicans coming to the us. He said all of the Mexicans coming were criminals and rapists.

Only in America could a blatant, braggart, right wing tea party pin headed asshole be first in a political pole for a party leader; potential president.
I do not know what is more incredible, goof ball running number 1 in the polls or the fact that Geo. W Bush was elected for a second term. I guess the parents that voted for Bush now have children that are of voting age.:Eek:
without naming any names, you could be talking about 75% of the Republican candidates

I did highlight the section in the original post. Again for your benefit:

Donald would have been proud of your stereotyping and racist remarks. But even he wouldn't approve of your cheap shot at children who don't have any control over the position they are currently in.

By the way, if those "illegal brats" were born in the US they become legal U.S. citizens automatically. Please tell me, as legal citizens are they still brats? Or is that because they are Mexican background?
Creating a straw man, aren't we? I said illegal brats not the ones born in America, although anchor babies are a whole different problem. BTW, do you know what the morally superior Canadians do with illegal immigrants? We put them through our immigration system and after 5-7 years, we deport them. Often whole families, even with children born here. We make them sell their homes, businesses, etc. and send them away on their merry way. There is a reason Mexicans don't swarm the Canadian border. We have hard quotas on immigration, here. We control our border, but we love to sneer at those Americans who propose the same thing.

I highly doubt he or anyone thinks he'd become president.

I believe his motive is simply to market himself (his usual loud obnoxious way), so it could parlay into more business ventures. But he went too far and recent ventures have backfired.

Similar to Howard Stern in NY decades ago. He was running for mayor or something, but pulled out when they wanted to know how much money he makes. Surely, he'd know that condition, but he milked it to the bone and pulled out. In turn, his popularity grew and he was all over the media during the process.

absolutely he is right. Problem is, he's a buffoon
And your point ? Obama started off with potential, but today he too looks like a buffoon.

Love it! Now you are trying the same excuse as The Donald tried.

I'm sure that statistically you feel there are some illegal Mexican children that are good kids.

"The Donald" is nothing more than a media slut, always looking to get his mug and hair on the news, magazines TV etc.
He's a joke! Mind you a very rich one but can we really take him seriously? POTUS? I'd take Hillary" I haven't had sex in 18 years" Clinton over "The combover"!

Err, we don't have a border with Mexico, JC. To get here, they would have to teleport themselves across a couple of thousand miles of USA. We get shipboard immigrants from Sri Lanka instead.

ALL countries attempt to swiftly deport illegal immigrants. Normally, the arrivals attempt to avoid early deportation by claiming a special humanitarian ground to be allowed to remain here. They are entitled to hearings to determine their claims and these take a year or so to perform. Would you prefer we send people back to a potentially dangerous home country without hearing their claims?

And if those claims are bogus, would you suggest that we allow them to remain here as a bad example to other illegals that they too can lie to jump the immigration line-up?

You know absolutely nothing about immigration law and procedure.

There are millions of illegal immigrants in the US. Not all of them are in California, but Canada is not as desirable destination because our illegal labor market is tiny if compared to America. I'm not against immigration. I, myself, migrated a couple of times. I'm against illegal immigration. Ultimately, a country that does not control its borders, does not control its destiny.

Donald Trump = Rob Ford of America...

Sounds like many of Ford's verbal follies:

"Those Oriental People work like dogs")..
Actually, I never saw the insult in that statement. He's basically saying that Orientals are hard working. (I know some people say that the word "Oriental" is offensive, but many Asians say that it is not offensive. In Hamilton where I grew up, I remember that there were social organizations for Japanese people that were actually labelled "Oriental".

Anyway, I don't think he meant it to be insulting. I really don't.

Every person crossing the border illegally is breaking the law. All the while, thousands of immigrants follow the rules, pay the fees, jump through the bureaucratic hoops. Mexicans are above such details. Get in illegally, work under the table, overburden school system with illegal brats.
I agree that immigration needs to follow the correct channels (though I am the grandson of illegal immigrants myself).

But I'm not so sure about overburdening school systems. Schools are paid for by taxes and even illegals are going to pay some taxes. Be that sales tax, or property tax, you can't avoid it.

Plus, I know piles of residential contractors in Toronto who work almost exclusively for cash and pay no income tax. They completely fly under the radar. I'm thinking of 2 in particular. Hell, 99.9% of SPs out there work for cash and pay no income tax. Probably even collect benefits. And we're talking people who are making hundreds of thousands of dollars a year.

And when I think about it, my grand parents came to Canada illegally (bribed a few people, including a priest). They (and my mother) took a lot of shit being labelled as "dirty Russians" (they were actually White Russians). But interestingly, my mother became a teacher and taught hundreds, maybe even thousands of kids to read and write and do math. My 3 siblings and I easily pay over a million dollars a year in direct taxes to the government of Canada. So really, who's to say.

Ford has many many faults but I agree that he meant that in a positive way.

We are a land of immigrants. If someone has come in and is working and paying taxes - let them stay. We need them- we should try to double the population within 25 years
