Is Trump right or wrong?

I don't know much about the US other than regular mass shootings, mounting debt, and rogue cops, so is Trump right about what he is saying about Mexicans and nobody dares agree with him because people can't speak their mind anymore, or is he way off base? I've always liked him for some reason, while most seem to hate him.

Or is it the same as lumping all muslims in with terrorists?:confused:

The context in which he said it makes it sound like all Mexicans crossing the border are criminals and that he "assumes" some of them are good people. It's a major faux pas and unbecoming of any potential leader. He would get less than 15% of the Hispanic vote saying shit like this.

Trump is a blowhard. I agree with him on some things and I sometimes like his candid style in sticking up for the US but in many areas he's just plain off the rails. Like renegotiating NAFTA for instance. If he ends up winning the Republican nomination (and it seems highly unlikely that he will) Clinton would be a shoo in for the WH.

I'm not even going to comment on the regular mass shootings and rogue cops claim. #ignorant

He is completely and emphatically wrong. Clearly, anybody with a minimum of knowledge and intelligence knows that the great majority of Mexicans coming to the US are not rapists. It is simply absurd, and should disqualify him for sitting on a school board.

He could have worded his statements better.
He's used to being the boss and what he says usually goes. His subordinates will know how to read between the lines and work it out.
But as a politician that may be something that he still needs to learn. His words will get analyzed to death and the general public will take his words at face value.

Most people form generalized opinions on other nations based on what they read or hear regularily, just how it is. It has been documented that what goes on in Mexico is worse than what ISIS do, it just doesn't get the coverage.

He just doesn't give a damn about what he says and I have some respect for him because of it. I feel that most of the things he says have some truths in them. IMO we need more people like Trump who's not afraid of the backlash from political correctness.

But why should he get all the flak, did you hear what Ted Cruz said about the Supreme Court decision to legalize gay marriage: "today is the darkest day in American history".

Thanks for keeping me abreast of things Theo - now that I know 9/11 and 7.12.1941 were minor misunderstandings, I can sleep better at night.

Every person crossing the border illegally is breaking the law. All the while, thousands of immigrants follow the rules, pay the fees, jump through the bureaucratic hoops. Mexicans are above such details. Get in illegally, work under the table, overburden school system with illegal brats.

Trump is a closet Democrat who is trying to ensure that a Republican will not get elected president next year. The Clinton camp must love it when Trump speaks. Trump has some wise words but the bottom line is that he is an anathema in the Republican party.

The words "Trump" and "right" do not belong in the same sentence... not even parts of the same language...

But, sometimes, he can be an entertaining buffoon, a court jester!

OTOH, his style is deliberately outrageous... because the reaction he is trying to provoke will at least make you think about the issue, whatever it is: it is a style that many comedians use very effectively... George Carlin, for one... and is a great antidote to the Great General Apathy that otherwise prevails!

Problem is that Trump does not have Carlin's sense of humor... ;)
