Absolute stinker of a game last night. Holy cow, both teams couldn't throw the ball in the ocean first half and there were more turnovers than a Pillsbury factory. (Yeah, I know that was pretty bad.)

However, after beating the Clippers, Spurs, Wizards and dismantling the Hawks, I think they were due for a stinker, no biggie. I fully expect them to rebound against the Pelicans without Anthony Davis after the Pelicans beat them at home a couple weeks ago.

What happened to Lou Williams? Anyone know why he didn't play? Was he partying too much in Atlanta after the win on Friday with his girlfriend and her twin sister who is going out with Amir?

Lou sprained his ankle in the 3rd quarter against the Hawks. Im with you on this one. It was a back-to-back game. The olny troubling thing is that we are going to have more back-to-backs. I expect a win against New Orleans, but I expect to get pounded by Dallas the following night.

The ups and downs that is a Raptor season! Discussion about depth will be there till draft day, I'm sure! Raps definitely weaker without Lou who might be more valuable in the rotation that DD! Hope it's a minor sprain and not one of those high ankle will take 6 years types! NO is a great place for a night out so the boys better be good tonight!

Interesting how the Leafs thread has double the views and replies even though they are such a shitty team.

Meanwhile, the Raptors are fun to watch, a good team and likable and runwaway division leaders primed for a solid playoff run.

What's the appeal of the Leafs? What am I missing? By the way, I was born and bred in Toronto, remember both the Gilmour Potvin and Sundin Cujo teams as well, so I'm not anti-hockey, just have 0 interest in watching them right now over the Raptors.

Walker, if it really has to be explained to you why the Toronto Maple Leafs Hockey Team is Number One(vs any other Toronto sports team) in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, then the 'bred in Toronto' part did not take or maybe you were one of the few that did not play hockey as a kid.

This is just my opinion/explanation.

The Raptors record reflects what was predicted to happen and so less to discuss . More of waiting for the playoffs .

The Leafs are playing so bad that it is historically bad and that means anger which means more posts ..

Then we have the Blue Jays which blows away both teams with how many posts and views ..

Let's not forget the Leafs started a month early and as the season winds down less posts talking about the Leafs and with Raptors making the playoffs these two threads will even out somewhat .

8-0 in the first game of BtB's this year and the Pels without Davis and Andersen means they really need to take care of business tonight. A great opportunity to make this a 500 trip at least. Lou is probable which is obviously a good thing.:thumb: let's go Raps!!

I guess there's a lot of really dumb people in Toronto, then. They did elect Rob Ford after all. I'm willing to bet most hockey die-hards are Rob Ford people as well. Just keep filling up the ACC and paying through the teeth to watch a crappy product when a better product with a winning team is right under your nose.

I was born and bred in Etobicoke, I did play hockey as a kid. And by the way, your assertion that I was "one of the few that didn't play" doesn't carry any weight. A lot less kids play hockey than you think. It's expensive as hell and Toronto being the melting pot it is, it's simply not a part of many people's cultures and they have no interest in it. Soccer is by far played by more kids than hockey. http://www.macleans.ca/society/the-good-ol-soccer-game/

Anyway, what is this great Canadian myth that just because you're Canadian you must love hockey and watch hockey and talk hockey, hockey, hockey, hockey!! You can't enjoy the Raptors more than the Leafs, how dare you? You're not a real Canadian!!! If people would open their eyes and get away from this myth, they would see that the NHL product is dull, plodding and uninteresting. Clutching and grabbing, poke checking 2-1 games. The stars are all boring good ol' Canadian boys with no personality giving 110 % one game at a time.

Can the Raptors please remove Lowry's last play to the basket from the play book before I throw something at the screan .

Extremely bad, Jerome Kersey just died from blood clots to the lungs. Bosh will be in critical condition for the weekend, the blood thinners he's been put on take time to work.
Mirza Teletovic also has blood clots in his lungs. If this can happen to elite athletes in the prime of life, this can also happen to us.

D Rose now out indefinitely....east getting weaker by the day!!!
Another loss tonight. 4th game in 5 nights, can't say I was expecting a win. They fought hard, though. The lead in the Atlantic is now at 12.5, so not really panicking.

Can't wait for Friday and the Warriors! Wouldn't be surprised if they lose that too, but it's gonna be fun as hell to watch!

No worry for the division, that was locked up before Christmas. :canada:
What bugs me is the Raps could be putting pressure on Atlanta. Not looking to catch them just make them think about the Raps and play harder. :thumb:

D Rose came back too soon. I didn't watch the game, considering his previous injury I'm assuming it's a leg problem.

thewalker, who's the girl. Awesome cleavage!

Not sure who she is, random babe that showed up during the Nets playoff series last year. Camera focused on her for a while, lol. Hope she'll be back this year!

This team has to develop a game that isn't just jump shootings . only 11 times going to the free throw line isn't going to be the type of ball that will win I'm the playoffs

I think its time for James Johnson to step up. He gets to the rim whenever he wants. He can back in. And his touch is getting better and better.

I definitely think the raptors need a closing play or get better at closing games on the last shot.
Take a look . Our closing play is Lowry going down the middle and looking to draw the foul. It simply doesn't work bc the refs put the whistle away and say "hey, you have to earn it", which I'm ok with. Can't we setup James Johnson on the post, or Derozan on the post and work it inside out? I'm ok with those matchups on a nightly basis.

: :frusty: Pre and Wonk, agree and wish they'd run all game offence this way. Settling for shots caused us at least  2 of last 3 and turned a great road trip into a we played hard trip! NBA Gametime had a piece on Lou last night with 3D. Hey Leafs, sometimes trades do work for both sides! Let's go Raptors!
