How fast do you expect an SP to reply to e-mail?

Just wondering because I was out last night and didn't read my e-mails until this morning.

Somebody e-mailed me yesterday evening and about 4 and a half hours later said he was cancelling our appt. for this coming week because I didn't respond. I know he will very likely read this...I'm not upset just a bit confused. :confused:

24 hours if you know she is working. No deadline if she hasn't advertised or posted that she is available. I LIKE quicker, but to demand it is unreasonable.

24 hours if it's someone I really want to see, 12 hours if I'm looking at a few different girls.

If sent at night then the next day in the afternoon, sent in the morning I would expect a response by the end of the day.

I find emails to be the worst way to set things up with an sp.

Hit and miss.

I've emailed/texted independents in the past. It can range from the next 30 minutes to the next day to never. There were some who don't get back to you unless you contact them 3 times over the next bunch of days.

That's the issue you can run into with indies. It's up to them if they feel like getting back to you.

With agencies, as long you you call them during their posted hours, there's usually someone on the hotline who will give you a yes/no answer right away. And if not, call back in 5 minutes and chances are good someone will pick up then.

Disagree with your non-working time frame. But I do agree that response time would vary depending on circumstances.

If I e-mail after midnight (or maybe even earlier) I'm prepared to wait 12-16 hours.

During 9am-9pm, I think 3 hours is reasonable. We are all connected nowadays and can access our electronic communications in a number of ways with mobility included. Non-working days, it should even easier as she isn't seeing clients, which of course is one of the worst times to check. Poor etiquette to the client. We all check our e-mails whether it's a work day or not. It should be no different for SPs.

Maybe 6 hours if it's during the "working" day, noon - midnight. 18-24 if I e-mailed in the middle of the night or if it's a weekend. All of this is assuming that she is actively advertising.

I do appreciate it when an SPs site gives guidance with "all e-mails returned within 24 hours" or "pre-bookings only" so I have some idea of what to expect.

But I never expect a response from any of the ladies, as to me it seems a bit demanding and presumptuous to expect anything of a busy person with a real life incremental to her SP life. If she responds in time to set something up - great; if not, I just wait until she does reply, or a week or so goes by and I reach out again, which virtually always nets a reply with explanation. SP's lead very busy lives, and I've come to learn the good ones don't always have time to turn on a dime and reply immediately. You have to learn to roll with it, and always have options set up in your head to avoid disappointment.

That said, sometimes I just won't reply at all for safety reasons.

I think it depends based on you line of work. Something urgent may need more rapid communication, and if communication was previously very quick I can see how a standard could be established.

If someone made an appointment for Monday morning, and they are trying to work out details on Saturday night - it sorta make sense that they might expect faster communication because of the short time until the meeting.

If you are using emails to set up appointments then a reply in 2 or 3 hours would be reasonable. Some ladies don't seem to respond at all, so what's the point of using emails. Give out a phone number.

He doesn't have an appointment until you agree to see him, so he's being a bit presumptuous.
Email isn't intended for quick responses, I'd give 24 hours - even more on weekends.
