2 NYPD cops shot dead ‘execution style’ as ‘revenge’ for Garner

Two uniformed NYPD officers were shot dead Saturday afternoon as they sat in their marked police car on a Brooklyn street corner — in what investigators believe was a crazed gunman’s execution-style mission to avenge Eric Garner and Michael Brown.

“It’s an execution,” one law enforcement source said of the 3 p.m. shooting of the two officers, whose names were being withheld pending family notification of their deaths.

The tragic heroes were working overtime as part of an anti-terrorism drill when they were shot point-blank in their heads by the lone gunman, who approached them on foot from the sidewalk at the corner of Myrtle and Tompkins avenues in Bed-Stuy.

The post included an image of silver automatic handgun with a wooden handle. Another post showed camouflage pants and blue sneakers which matched the clothing the dead gunman was wearing as his body was carried from the scene on a stretcher.

“They Take 1 Of Ours … Let’s Take 2 of Theirs,” the post continued, signing off with, “This May Be My Final Post.”

The gunman was a fugitive who had just murdered his girlfriend in Baltimore Saturday morning, sources told The Post.

Minutes after shooting the two officers, he, too, was dead.

He fled to a nearby subway station, the G-train station at Myrtle and Willoughby avenues, where, as pursuing cops closed in, he shot himself on a crowded platform, sources told The Post.

“They engaged the guy and he did himself,” one investigator said of the gunman’s demise.

Both shooting scenes — above and below ground — were scenes of blood and terror.

“I heard shooting, — four or five shots,” ear-witness Derrick McKie, 49, told The Post of the cops’ tragic murder. “It sounded like from a single gun,” he said. Ambulances and police cars rushed to the scene, he said.

“I seen them putting the cop in the ambulance. He looked messed up,” McKie, a barber, added. “He took a high caliber weapon to the face. He was lifeless…I couldn’t see where the holes was that, all I could see was blood. His body was lifeless.”

Modal Trigg Carmen Jimenez, 32, a social worker from Bedford-Stuyvesant, was on the subway platform when the gunman ran inside, pursued by officers.

“Everything happened so quick,” said Jimenez, who is eight months pregnant. “We were standing waiting for the G train. We heard arguing from the other end of the platform.

It looked like two cops came in there was lots of yelling and they said, ‘Everybody get down.’

“We tried to get out of there, and there was a lot of shouting, people were screaming, people were trying to run.

“I threw myself on the floor. I was afraid for my life and afraid for my baby.”

Unfortunately when "civil rights" leaders refuse to condemn chants of "what to we want: dead cops, when do we want it: now" as part of rallies they are sponsoring - this was a time bomb waiting to explode.

http://news.yahoo.com/police-2-nyc-cops-shot-car-critically-injured-212302732.html

A man walked up to a parked patrol car with two officers inside and shot them Saturday afternoon, killing one and critically injuring the other before running into a nearby subway station where as police closed in he shot himself to death.

Nothing has yet been released, but it appears that at least one of the police officers was Black. (Note: this was incorrect)

The New York Times

"Two police officers were killed after they were shot in their patrol car in Brooklyn on Saturday afternoon, according to a law enforcement official.

The shootings took place near Myrtle and Tompkins Avenues in Bedford-Stuyvesant.

“It looks like they were shot in the upper body,” Deputy Chief Kim Royster said.

She said that a suspect fled into a subway station after shooting the officers from the patrol car’s passenger side, and that the police had recovered a gun from the scene.

Chief Royster said the suspect opened fire on the police officers, ran up Myrtle and went into a subway station. The man died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head, Chief Royster said.

Fire Department officials said that a 911 call came in around 2:50 p.m. reporting that two people had been shot.

Charlie Hu, the manager of a liquor store at the same corner, said he saw two police officers slouched over in the front seat of their patrol car. At least one of the officers, Mr. Hu said, appeared to have been shot in the head.

The last officer killed by gunfire in the line of duty was Peter Figoski in 2011."

Maybe I am naïve but I always thought the windows on cop cars were made of some sort of bullet proof glass or material....

Asshole shooter took cowards way out. Classic chickenshit. Likely though he would be big hero.
I hope he is forgotten ASAP.

Stupid move, killing cops, anyone, for revenge is useless.

Really? He took out two innocent cops who had nothing to do with the incidents he was "avenging" and you think that would make him a big hero to people? The only people who would think this guy is a hero are nutjobs.

It is being reported that this is the worst murder of on duty police officers in the City of New York in 26 years.*

Both officers have died, one was White, the other Asian, both were relatively inexperienced: one two years, the other four years.

The murderer was a gang member from Baltimore who murdered his girlfriend this morning, then came to New York and murdered these two NYPD officers this afternoon.

* Which was the murder Linym01 mentioned in #5

Student Leader: 'No Sympathy' for Executed NYPD Officers

Following the execution of two New York Police Department officers, a Brandeis University student leader wasted no time in making it clear that she did not care that they were murdered.

“i have no sympathy for the nypd officers who were murdered today,” Khadijah Lynch, a junior and an Undergraduate Department Representative in the African and Afro-American Studies Department, wrote on Twitter.

Two NYPD officers were shot execution style by a Baltimore gang-member, identified as Ismaaiyl Brinsley, who boasted about killing cops before embarking on his rampage.

This is not the first time that Lynch has made questionable statements on race relations in the United States. In September, the main Brandeis University student paper The Justice asked Lynch if she believed there is a "trend of racial bias in law enforcement violence" in America following the cases of Trayvon Martin and Michael Brown. She proceeded to claim that "American police forces of today descend from a legacy of slave captives and overseers" and are racist bigots.

The very essence of the United States relies on the social implications of race in which black bodies are deemed as sub-human with little to no access of the rights that are so called applicable to every American citizen. The American police forces of today descend from a legacy of slave captives and overseers whose job was to protect the property (enslaved black bodies) of rich, slave owning capitalists. We must understand that we are not that far removed from this country’s legacy of slavery and that most of our laws are shaped to uphold a system of white supremacy. The Mike Brown case is only a reflection, a repeat and a reminder that this nation rests on the brutality and criminalization of black people and other non-whites. Once we as a nation acknowledge and understand these parallels, only then can we heal collectively from the past.

Lynch was also a featured speaker at a Brandeis community-wide vigil in memory of those allegedly killed as a result of racial profiling earlier this academic year and is listed as an undergraduate department representative for the Department of African and Afro-American studies.

Her Twitter account is similarly riddled with objectionable remarks and justifications of violence.

“She's a UDR, which means she's a leader on campus responsible for advising younger students,” a recent Brandeis graduate told TruthRevolt. “Someone with these extremist views shouldn't have a position of influence at Brandeis.”

After TruthRevolt contacted Lynch for a comment on this story, she took to Twitter and wrote, "so bdeis "journalists" be creeping on my twitter. byee." She later responded to TruthRevolt and refused to clarify if she felt that the executed NYPD officers deserved to die.

"Does matter what i believe?" she wrote. "Its my own personal opinion which I as a private citizen which do not want publicized in any form and if you do not abide my wishes i constitute your disregard as slander."

Lynch then returned to Twitter and called for an "intifada," in which innocents are murdered, in America.

^ A couple of points of interest: Her Twitter posts give her given name in both English and Arabic.

A Black student at a Jewish University feels that police in America are beneath contempt, that is to put it mildly breathtakingly ironic and contemptuous.

Appears the killer is Ismaaiyl Brinsley.

2 NYPD slaughtered by Black Muslim Revenge Activist in race-fueled hate/anti-authority crime.

Local journalists are reporting that the gunman who executed two NYC police officers as they sat in their patrol car has been identified as 28 year old fugitive Ismaaiyl Brinsley, who allegedly resided in Baltimore, and had traveled to New York City with the specific intent to kill police officers as a type of race based hate fueled twisted “payback” to avenge the recent deaths of Michael Brown and Eric Garner.

Brinsley is reported to have approached the two officers as they were sitting in their patrol car in the notorious crime ridden Bedford-Stuyvesant area of Brooklyn, New York and began firing rounds into the vehicle before fleeing on foot to the closest subway station where he later committed suicide. The two officers were transported for Woodhull Medical for treatment, but sadly, both had lost their battle for life as of 5 pm tonight.

The New York Post reports:

The tragic heroes were working overtime as part of an anti-terrorism drill when they were shot point-blank in their heads by the lone gunman, who approached them on foot from the sidewalk at the corner of Myrtle and Tompkins avenues in Bed-Stuy.

“I’m Putting Wings on Pigs Today,” a person believed to be the gunman wrote on Instagram in a message posted just three hours before the officers were shot through their front passenger window…

“I seen them putting the cop in the ambulance. He looked messed up,” McKie, a barber, added. “He took a high caliber weapon to the face. He was lifeless…I couldn’t see where the holes was that, all I could see was blood. His body was lifeless.”

Release of the two officer’s names have been held pending notification of their families.

One week after professional agitators were allowed to march through the streets of Brooklyn threatening police and public safety while another group harassed residents of Murray Hill chanting “What do we want? Dead Cops! When do we want them? Now!” local politicians are in a frenzy of back-pedalling to uncouple the recent calls for the deaths of police officers and for the murder and rape of their family members from the actual murder of the two NYPD officers today.

If she was white, male and made sexist (instead of hateful and death threat) comments, the usual suspects would be calling for her expulsion from Brandeis.
