Hockey is an extremely fast sport (much faster than soccer) which can sometimes make it difficult to differentiate between a real penalty and a dive. However, unlike soccer, they frequently call unsportsmanlike (diving) penalties.

Your video doesn't mention how many of those Boston flops (as you call them) resulted in a penalty for the opposition or one for Boston.

Soccer players don't fake because they're pussies (they're not, they're actually quite tough). They fake because faking is effective.

That's exactly right. FIFA needs to get their heads out of their asses and use replays to weed out fake injuries. They've made their sport a laughing stock. The last time I watched soccer, I watched a player get a red card when the replay clearly showed he didn't even touch the "victim".
