As pressing as it sounds these talks of climate change carry
little significance. All of us, and that include those who believe
or not as well as the climate change researchers, will continue
to burn fossil fuels like there is no tomorrow regardless. The
only one pragmatic advice we can pass on to our kids to stop global
warming is to encourage them to burn away the remaining oil,
and coal as quick as they can so their generation can eventually
live on a balanced carbon dioxide budget.

We don't have that much time to turn things around. "Our children" will have to deal with the repercussions of the current inaction that is currently taking place. Waiting and just talking will do nothing and its also the biggest failing of the so-called "left" in the industrialized world.
It's going to take about as long to turn things around as it will to get rid of catholic schools in Ontario in the meantime I'm off to put another log on the fire. It's friggin freezing out
The catholic school thing can be resolved with a name change. Catholic schools are barely catholic anymore.

I laugh at such simplistic comments when in a particular season, an extreme temperature hits. ie: -28C with windshield tonight.
Now how about those balmy winter days and nights we had last year and the year before? No comments then I suppose?
Or how about those really cold nights in the summer? Nothing you say? Shocking and incredibly simplistic.
The data is there, if you trust the meteorologists to measure your daily temps with the same units why wouldn't you believe the same data recorded over just longer periods of time.

While I do believe there's some warming going, its probably minuscule. Something to the effect of .005 degrees per decade
