Depends what you are looking for? Old-school style? Chicago style? New York style? Authentic Italian? New School? Thin crust? Thick Crust?

Yeah it's a questioin without an answer.

I'll tell ya what the worst is, though - the ubiquitous PizzaPizza.
We ordered some in at work a couple of weeks ago and it was minimal amount of bland sauce, over-salty thin layer of cheese and cardboard-stiff tasteless crust. I don't understand how they got to be so big selling that crap.

Of the big chains, most are crap, but Pizza Pizza is better than Pizza Hut and Dominos. In this case, the Canadian crap has a slight edge over the American crap.

I would agree if you like doughy undercooked garbage. At least those other two chains cook their dough before sending t.

We have very low standards in Canada.

Nino D'aversa bakery in Woodbridge. They have other locations as well, but I've only been to the one in the 'Bridge.

It also depends on the particular store. I have had excellent pizza at one location and ho-hum at another.

This thread comes up every once and a while, guess it's time to update it.

Thick crust --- Camarra's on Dufferin, north of Glencairn

Thin crust ------Vesuvio's on Dundas, west of Keele.

These two places have been the perennial winners of best pizza's over the years, even by the Star's polls, although they stopped doing them now.

I heard lots of good things about Libretto's but haven't tried it myself.

Danforth Pizza house hands down. The original owner recently just passed away. God rest his soul. His son and family are going to keep it going, it's not quiet the same but still one of the best.

Pizza is white flour, cow fat and nitrates. I eat pizza once a year. That said, Da Maria on St. Clair West west of Bathurst.
