Well did the Leafs play better or were the Kings legs dead after the back to back games.

West coast teams have it really tough dealing with the time zone change and playing on consecutive nights on the road.

My feeling is that yes the buds played better but they aided by the fact that they were playing a weary team.

Ya, the Kings really sucked in Montreal. It's much the same when eastern teams go west.

In theory I agree with you, however looking at the records of the Pac teams the effect seems negligible.

Ya, the Kings really sucked in Montreal. It's much the same when eastern teams go west.

Montreal was their first game on the road trip and thus they were a lot better rested than they were on the next night.

The four west coast teams are a combined 79-30-20. Vancouver brings them down a bit because they are only 18-10.

My point is that with LA, Ana and SJ being 21-7, 21-7, and 19-6 there can't be that much difference as per winning %age since they hardly lose any.

So the Leafs are on a losing streak, let's put things into perspective.

The talent pool is still too thin to compensate for major injuries. Let's give Brian Burke credit for stabilizing management, but I disagreed with his assessment that the Leafs could compete sooner than expected. Prior to Burke, I can count on one hand the number of years the Leafs had good management since 1967. Even if they don't make the playoffs this year they should stay the course, don't trade away futures for immediate returns. History has already shown that it doesn't work out.

look at how raymond and lupul were flying tonight. raymond just didn't mesh with molasses clarkson at all.

Chicago played a pretty "polite" game tonight (in comparison to how Boston, LA, St. Louis played against the Leafs) and their goaltending was terrible.

Why do you say Clarkson is useless? His +/- is better than Lupol and Kadri and his point production is middle of the pack.

They should sit Fraser and Ranger for the next game too. Ranger is a liability every time he is on the ice. Fraser is not the same player from last year. Both guys are too slow to handle the opposition players.

Fraser and Ranger would been very slow against a fast Blackhawks teams. However it was the Leafs flying tonight (or last night).
