Bloor and Sleazy
Rob Ford is different then your typical run of the mill politician, and so he must go. He is not a Yes man to the powers that be.
Crack use is being blown out of proportion, but the real motive is strictly political.
Sorry to burst your bubble.

The man has serious substance abuse issues which have led to him making very poor choices (such as smoking crack, yelling racist slurs, and appearing intoxicated at official functions). This alone is reason enough to want him out of the job. However, he also has clear ties to organized crime and drug trafficking. Two very serious issues that have contributed to much violence and crime in our city. The mayor's office should be trying to eradicate these elements from Toronto. When he is clearly one of the perpetrators, he is in a clear conflict of interest and not working in the interest of the taxpayers he claims to represent.

It is true that there are many who dislike him and try to make him look bad in themedia. That's par for the course in politics and all leaders have to deal with it. The problem, in Ford's case is that the accusations are true.

By racist slurs I assume you mean the "Asians work like dogs" comment which was actually an intended compliment. Are there any others I am not aware of? Ford was pictured hanging out with a group of blacks in the famous crack video still. Organized crime? Mind you his family has been in politics for a while, which means intense background checks.

Well his intent was not to be racist, but to praise the work ethic of a certain community. Despite being a comment in bad taste.

Ford is a drunken crack smoker, he's not very articulate so you have to forgive him. His "Orientals work like dogs" comment was actually meant to be a compliment, but he just didn't know how to phrase it. What he meant to say was that Asian-Canadians are very hardworking people.

And most Chinese are not Gangstas either....much much lower percentage than say, for example, Somalis or Jamaicans. The rates of gangsterism in these populations is much higher.

Stay with the game, Frankie boy. Too many picks to the head?
The gang is the group in the crack photo and video, the Dixon bloods, I believe.

In undoubtedly a hostile crowd, the Mayor Rob Ford did a very dignified job today at the Remembrance Day ceremonies. Much to the SHAGRIN of his detractors, he shook hands with veterans, stood in solitude during the 'moments silence' and delivered a thoughtful address from the seat of the Mayor.

Afterwards, the vultures were out again...not asking questions about our war heroes and the cities ceremony - but when the Mayor would be leaving. He steadfastly moved on, stating he was going no where, and went back to city business.
Whether realized or not, the confirmation of denial and lack of scope in your statement is what delays enlightened progress and the civil elevation of modern societies.

It harkens to the mentality of small town preachers of decades gone by that used the term 'darkie' with all the best intentions of heart and mind.
