... but not just a plant. There is obviously a semantical difference you can't comprehend.Yes, I missed that, you are in favour of legalization so I admit I was wrong in criticizing you about that.
However:
Is marijuana a plant or isn't it?! When I've grown it, it sure looked like just a plant. Leaves, stems, roots, the whole "yeah that's a plant" deal. Then you take part of the plant, the leaves, and smoke them. Alcoholic drinks OTOH, have all the plant material strained out of them.
It really is. I have to put in effort to ration it out to myself and save some for others.Looks delicious,
Something I'd like to say about this video clip. If we can forget about pot for a minute, compare JT's ease with a crowd and taking questions, and this item that just popped up today:
^^^ Kelowna, BC (07/13)
On a visceral, instinctive level I find it much easier to trust and believe someone who can stand in front of a crowd with ease without a barrier, and is not afraid to take questions.Stephen Harper’s northern tour ends with ugly tussle between Chinese reporter and PM’s RCMP security detailhttp://news.nationalpost.com/2013/0...-ends-with-tussle-involving-chinese-reporter/
Li Xue Jiang, of the People's Daily, China's largest newspaper, is hauled to the back of the room by RCMP as Stephen Harper answers questions while visiting Xstrata Nickel's Raglan Mine in the northern Nunavik region of Quebec on Friday, August 23, 2013.
The final public event on Stephen Harper’s annual summer tour was very nearly derailed Friday after a journalist from China’s state-owned newspaper got into a shoving match with a female staffer from the Prime Minister’s Office and was pulled away by members of Harper’s security detail.
...
The incident occurred during a question-and-answer session with the media, after the formal portion of the announcement at Raglan Mine, in Quebec’s far northwest, had ended. As the prime minister was taking a question from the CBC’s James Cudmore, People’s Daily Canada bureau chief Li Xue Jiang began insisting to PMO staffer Julie Vaux that he was next in line to ask a question.
It is Harper’s practice to limit the number of questions he takes from reporters — typically on this trip, four from the national media, one from any local media present, and one from Radio-Canada. Because of the limit on questions, reporters typically pool their efforts, and also determine by consensus who will pose them, and in what order. Questions are not shown to PMO staff in advance.
That's true, I rarely drink. Don't like the way it makes me feel, and can't stand being around drunks or drink snobs.Actually there are a number alcohols that don't have all the plant removed, but you obviously aren't familiar with them. Many beers and whiskey are of that ilk.
:wink:It really is. I have to put in effort to ration it out to myself and save some for others.

As the article cited says, "So far, this research shows only an association between smoking pot and developing psychosis or schizophrenia later on. That’s not the same thing as saying that marijuana causes psychosis."If you and your friends have not had difficulty then you are truly lucky, or blind because there is mounting evidence that it is a problem, increasing with every study. Of course, if you are of a mind to not believe the research, feel free to call it wrong, bogus, or bought for.

This is only a single summary of some research.
Hey, we are all adults and are supposed to be responsible for our actions and choices, but don't call it just a plant.
So is that a hash brownie? Does that get u high?...Speaking of Utopia, just got back from Brickworks farmers market with this:
Dark chocolate coated with organic hemp, from Chocosol Traders. The hemp adds great texture and crunch.
Which of course is what no one on here has claimed. As the article cited says, "So far, this research shows only an association between smoking pot and developing psychosis or schizophrenia later on. That’s not the same thing as saying that marijuana causes psychosis."
So research suggests an "association" that amounts to a change from 7 in 1000 to 14 in 1000. Not that big a deal methinks.
Also note that rather than being a cause of psychosis, it is also possible that dope use is self medication of a condition developing completely separately from use of the drug. It is possible that dope actually makes them feel better. Psychosis develops over time, perhaps the ones who try smoking actually put the problem off for a time. We don't know this. We do know that not a lot of people are having a big problem.
I look at all my dope smoking friends - all of them are productive people, none are basket cases. The drinkers, however, not in such good shape.
It is likely that some small group of people will have trouble as a result of indulging. There are a lot of people who are totally dead because they are addicted to another modern vice - personal cars. And they aren't the only people they kill. If there was a drug killing as many people as cars, it would be the center of all law enforcement activities.
I myself do not indulge in driving, I suggest all those who are frightened by drugs to notice how much more likely it is that their car will kill them than any drug.
Young people with a parent or sibling affected by psychosis have a roughly one in 10 chance of developing the condition themselves—even if they never smoke pot. Regular marijuana use, however, doubles their risk—to a one in five chance of becoming psychotic.
1 in 10 is something to be concerned about. In one recent study that followed nearly 2,000 teenagers as they became young adults, young people who smoked marijuana at least five times were twice as likely to have developed psychosis over the next 10 years as those who didn’t smoke pot.
I'd more concerned if he didn't or if he wasn't a loyal member of TERB!Do you care?
Likely more than one based on what we do know.Did Pierre father a child we don't know about?
Have another.....So is that a hash brownie? Does that get u high?...
Does that look like a brownie to you?! It's a bar of 'hemp gold' from Chocosol Tradershttp://chocosoltraders.com/menu/.So is that a hash brownie? Does that get u high?...
No one gets high from hemp, although sometimes women seem to get off on good quality chocolate :wink:Our artisan chocolate is made right here in Toronto using organic, forest garden, shade-grown cacao, sourced directly from horizontal trade relationships with indigenous communities in the Lacondon Jungle of Chiapas and the Oaxacan mountains of Southern Mexico.
Our chocolates are made without dairy, gluten, soy and nuts, and are also vegan. We specialize in both eating chocolate and drinking chocolate (xocolatl), and offer a number of other sustainably grown ingredients that are sourced directly from farmers (such as coffee, cacao nibs, agave, hemp seeds and vanilla pods, among others).
There are so many activities and substances that are dangerous to kids. Which is a darned good reason why cannabis should be legalized and regulated and kept out of their reach.Chocolate originally does not taste very sweet. Loads of sugar is added to chocolate to make it taste good. These high amounts of sugar can cause hyperactivity, anxiety, difficulty in concentrating, and crankiness in kids. Chocolate contains high amounts of artificial flavors, saturated fat, and harmful coloring that can harm the liver and kidney.
I believe I posted earlier, don't give up your day coz you suck big time at understanding what I would say or think, but somehow I suspect it's not the only thing you suck at.Does that look like a brownie to you?! It's a bar of 'hemp gold' from Chocosol Traders.

However as I'm sure blackrock13 would agree, chocolate is dangerous to the health of children and early addiction or dependence on the substance could lead to health problems, so even if it's legalized chocolate candy bars must be kept off limits to them.
