The clock in the execution room is a quartz clock. The quartz clock was invented in 1927 by Warren Morrison and was not even used in laboratories until
the 1940s. So it is implausible that a quartz clock was used in a prison in 1935. The correct type of clock should have been a motorized type like you had when you were in school.
The movie, set in 1935, depicts executions in Louisiana being carried out by electrocution, but the Louisiana Legislature did not change the
method of execution from hanging to electrocution until 1940.
The fire extinguisher used in the clip is a container of water mixed with baking soda, a bottle of acid is in the top of the extinguisher, if the extinguisher is turned up side down or sideways the acid will mix with the baking soda solution and cause pressure to push the water out of the extinguisher. at 4:32 in the clip, the extinguisher is turned sideways and but no water is expelled from the extinguisher.
