Charlie Manuel fired as Phillies manager today. Will he be interested in managing the Jays? Or, are will still a believer in Gibby for another season?

The Phillies are all about result. But Charlie may be getting a little old for managing and I don't number him amongst the best managers in the game.Charlie Manuel fired as Phillies manager today. Will he be interested in managing the Jays? Or, are will still a believer in Gibby for another season?
I'm not a Gibbons fan and I hear a lot of people suggesting he needs to be replaced. Does anyone have any idea as to who should replace and what that candidate will bring to the table?I am a believer too...
I believe I am.
Like W.C. Fields, I believe I will have another whiskey.
And I also believe we badly need another manager!

Gibby is 100% safe for the start of next year. Waaay to many things beyond his control to put the blame on him. Next year might be a bit different. Despite the fact baseball managers have very little to do with how a team peforms, if the guys are healthy next year gibby will take the fall as it's a results driven buisness and someone has to take the fall for it.... I am
The "manager" has was less impact in baseball than other team sport. The "manager" fills out the line up card, makes a few pitching changes here and there, and few other little moves. On the contrary, if the team is performing poorly it does reflect on the job the manager has done. It's his job to manage the talent and the Jays have enough talent to warrent a better record, after all that's why they call him the "manager".
Oh, stop patronizing Jennifer the Great...I love your love for Kawasaki...lol. So cute.
You always do your home work to make sure your reasons are justified like your stats on the jays win loss record with and without him....love it....lol
Although I agree with your assessment of managers' impact, I still think they will let him go.The "manager" has was less impact in baseball than other team sport. The "manager" fills out the line up card, makes a few pitching changes here and there, and few other little moves.
Your talent is going to dictate your record waaaay more then your manager skills in baseball. It's not like hockey or basketball where putting the right guys on the ice, at the right time with the right team mates is crucial to how the team performs. Baseball is a team sport based on individual performances.
Coudn't agree more...lolShe has more interesting Jays insights than all you Little Scamps combined.
What??? Shack and I agree on something??? What's the world coming to? lolAlthough I agree with your assessment of managers' impact, .
IMO these are just excuses. Every team has injuries, it's part of the game. I'm not saying it's the managers fault but pointing out injuries doesn't give the team or the manager a pass. This year -
1. Dickey - back pains and difficulties adjusting to the AL and Skydome. Reasonable pitching much of the time, but tendency to get hit hard when batters connect.
2. Johnson - persistent injury issues and adjustment issues.
3. Morrow - injured all season.
4. Happ - injured most of season.
5. Melke - injured about half season; adjustment issues; ? whether is effective wo PED's.
6. Lawrie - injury issues; ineffective batting until last month or so.
7. Lind - Same Old Story.
8. Rasmus - ineffective batting until all star break.
9. Arencibia - low average.
10. Bautista - injury issues; relatively less effective batting than in his superstar seasons.
11. Reyes - injured for 1/2 season.
How much of this was actually Gibbo's fault?
